I think a lot of the issue with H1-B is Trump has been doing things unprecedented, but not trumpeting them because he's been hoping to use India as a wedge to end the War in Ukraine. India is making up for a lot the the economic activity the war sanctions have cut off.

I told her I was about to make a phone call about that but shes concerned that the place would foreclose/shut down and she'd be out of a job. She told me once it got purchased by Indians she was gonna leave at the end of the year and now shes "unsure" but I'm trying to convince her.

Yeah, if you have a legitimate population crisis on your hands and you can just send them back without having to fight layer after layer of judicial corruption to get it done once they've outlived their usefulness there could be a legitimate benefit to bringing them in. In America we bring them in to take the job of an American, where they then live in a house/apartment that an American could be living in, then they bring in their families and their families start hoovering up welfare and more housing, and any children they have become citizens, and if they don't want to leave when their stay is up they can delay it for years and years, potentially long enough that another president with no interest in deporting them comes in.
