Get real dude. Physique inflation is as old as humanity. Just look at Ancient Greek statues of Hercules.
it's not really much of an inflation when those statues from 3000 years ago portray pretty much the same body type that guys like sandow were still striving for in the late 1800s (i think one of the early physical culture pioneers explicitly mentioned such statues as the inspiration for his body-building pursuits, might even have been sandow himself)

If roids just disappeared tomorrow, this wouldn't change a thing. Peak natural physique is still unattainable to 99% of men, most people can not spend 4-5 days a week in a gym while living off on 1200 calories a day during cutting.

As for women, if their beauty standarts were realistic, cosmetic industry wouldn't be so massive. Sure, cosmetics are not even remotely as dangerous as PEDs, but they are still huge financial and time drains. And there are plastic surgeries on top of that, which are mostly marketed towards women.
cosmetics is not comparable with fitness at all
cosmetics is entirely superficial, looks obsession, pure vanity. the male equivalent is, well, male cosmetics like acne creams, hairstyle shit, body sprays, colognes, etc.
cosmetic surgery isn't really comparable to fitness either, the male equivalent of that shit would be male focused cosmetic surgeries like leg lengthening for manlets, hair transplants for hairlets like elon musk, and whatever bone surgery it is that the looksmaxxers do to their jawlines and cheekbones

Ah, I see - you think bodybuilders should be strong. Truth is, most aren't very strong relative to their bulk.
This is 100 percent accurate. They don't have functioning working muscle. Hell, I worked with a guy who looked like he could lift a steel beam. He could not. I can throw away. 500 pound steel beam around like it's nothing.
And I look like an anorexic twink.

I see you used to work with this tiny little Irish stone Mason who could lift up a 110 pound concrete form and run with it. The man was tiny and we will play boxing and he fucking hurt when he punched you.

You know the video where you may not like it, but this is where peak mail performance look like? Yeah, it looks like a fat Italian guy who can lift.

That's right. Their physique is purely aesthetic. Even Ronnie Coleman, who was strong, should have been much stronger at his size.
I go to the gym and I can bench press like Andrew, 150. For like 10 reps. If I do my Max bench press it'd be like 300. But one Rep Max isn't really impressive to me.
But I only go to the gym, so I don't have my body breakdown on me when I get older. Not for some gay. Physique measuring contests like the rest of these fags.
Hell, even that Neo Nazi guy, the Golden One is stronger than most of these people.'cause he trains mainly for strength. Personally, I do a mixture of trying train and cardio.

These JUST LIFT guys have some major hangups about cardio. They think it's not masculine enough, or that the reason that people do cardio is that they don't want to "go big".

"Time spent running is time not spent deadlifting or chugging microplastics, can you even call yourself a man if your balls dont feel like they were 3d printed bro?"

Bro bullshit aside, for the people that just want to get big and strong, looks be damned, lifting heavy and focusing on minimizing time between sets is a decent way to work your heart though that just maybe the powerlifter in me talking
Strongman and Powerlifting burns an insane amount of energy theres a reason they can eat 10-12k calories a day and only be 300-400 lbs, these men are also working the largest muscle groups in the human body constantly, producing higher loads of pure testosterone than any other sect that isnt juicing
Masculinity is more than what you can lift and how big you are, but being really strong never counts against you

Strength is only worth something if it comes in handy, especially in crisis competency: are you able to pull yourself or another person up? can you lift something heavy off someone? can you rip an assailant off of someone? can you carry someone a fair distance? can you snatch children and adults off the ground in a speedy fashion?
Having a strong back and explosive power are crucial in those moments, if your body can answer the call of duty, you are stronger in my eyes than any mass monster

Nah, it's just that cardio, especially in the gym, is not as fulfilling as weightlifting. Hitting a new personal lifting record just sounds cooler than doing more steps in 1hr threadmill session. Eveything else is just an excuse.

They're also terrified of losing their fat-supplemented "gains". Adding a healthy dosage of cardio would probably cut down on a lot of these guys bulks, if their roided-out hearts can even take it.
Running on a treadmill inside the gym is gay, running outside through paths and trails and getting that runners high is pretty good.
It is extremely gay. Idk how people can do it for more than 20 mins without blowing their brains out. God made us to run through the forests and fields.

That's to put it mildly.

Starting to run long distance just fucking sucks. You need to run twice a week for months before you really start to get that running addiction. It's a massive hurdle.

Cycling and swimming is better but one has a really bad rep and the other is really boring.
