you know its a slow news cycle when we go back to workshopping alternate WW2 scenarios

The demoralization and trolling campaigns were all tooled up for another push on "Trump's starting another forever ground war" and got completely owned. They've slinked back waiting for the next Democrat party line about Epstein, Indians(Edit, I corrected this from Indiana to Indians twice and it still autocorrected it back to Indiana, the Jeets are in my android keyboard), or the economy to come shit up the thread with.

These are the cozy hours, we don't have any major wins to celebrate, not they don't have a script to bother us with.
and you can't get used to "exciting times" as we've been living through or you'll end up conjuring ghosts to fight against to keep up the excitement

I think the major issue with the doomers is they did get used to the exciting times. The first six months of Trump's new term were exceedingly busy, and they've already got use to the completely new political landscape and are getting (or being manipulated to get) angsty that we did get even more than completely previously unprecedented government action.
One thing that's unceasingly funny about this administration is that anytime Trump announces something beneficial to a certain group, the responses always find a way to be mad about it.

That's where we're at as a country: If the guy in charge actually does something good, people will either ignore it or spin it into another disaster. US Politics have degraded into who can make us the most angry.
That's just the last 20 years of social media's effect on team sport politics.

What was really funny ,though, was when they had to just grit their teeth and ignore the Palestine Peace deal. Their biggest political thorn that want Orange Man Bad, the biggest disruptive issue to their own internal party stability, and Trump have them the least favorable to Israel deal the Jews have probably ever had to swallow, 10x more favorable to Palestine than any Democrat ever would draft, and they have to just ignore it.
Something really funny might happen

Bro if we lose another easy R crimson state election I'm just going to give my mail in ballot to the most bulb headed vantablack Somali tranny I can find roaming the halls of boomer hospice. I can't take Republicans throwing away all these elections anymore.

I'm developing a theory. Vivek gets really triggered around Christmastime because he's in Ohio, which still has a White supermajority, so he's constantly reminded that he doesn't belong around the holidays because of all the decorations and whatnot. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s had meltdowns in private before.
Vivek has been having a little slap fight with Andrew Torba on X (Torba is the Christian Nationalist Gab guy).

Rittenhouse doesn't have the knack for social media or being a public figure. He needs to go be a machinist and mind his own business. The people around him are steering him the wrong way and I do not believe he is able to stand up for himself in the face of that.
He is going to get taken for such a ride with Lady Kirk. The book she 'writes' after the breakup will be pretty damning.
The term 'alt right' has been hijacked and so watered down by the left that its one of those terms that just rings hollow. Its morphed from Hillary defining them as online Trump supporters shitposting Pepes, to a full on mainstream populist movement with is non-sequential victories. Alt-right was how democrats tried to smear republicans by lumping them in with white nationalists but it didn't succeed swaying anyone from voting for Trump except RINOs.
If you want to go father back when it was coined during gamer gate it was a basically a modern right with basically a copy of liberal values from the 1990s. Anti-censorship and free speech to the extreme. Bill Kristol and the summer lady then tried to hijack it to make it into the new neocons which sadly seemed to work somewhat based on this thread.

Is Ben Shapiro getting paid by tucker to be his hype man? Every time i hear him talk about Carlson i come away thinking this must be the most based man alive and then i go watch his show and it's just him saying over and over how terrible it is that white people are starting to form a group consciousness like every other racial group on the planet.

Tucker does have his moments though.

Here's a lawsuit of personal interest that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet: Missouri v. China

Article:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Missouri's top prosecutor said China is suing after the state pressed federal officials for help collecting on a roughly $25 billion court judgment related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said Tuesday in a news release that China is demanding a public apology from the state in a complaint filed in the Intermediate People’s Court of Wuhan. The Chinese government also is seeking compensation equivalent to $50.5 billion plus legal fees and the right to claim further compensation.

"This lawsuit is a stalling tactic and tells me that we have been on the right side of this issue all along,” Hanaway said in the news release.

At issue is a lawsuit Missouri filed alleging that China hoarded personal protective equipment during the early months of the pandemic, harming the state and its residents. A federal judge ruled for Missouri earlier this year after China declined to participate in the trial. It called the lawsuit “ very absurd ” when it was filed in 2020.

Last month, Missouri escalated its efforts to collect, asking the U.S. State Department to formally notify China that the state intends to pursue assets with full or partial Chinese government ownership to satisfy the judgment.

Liu Pengyu, a spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, said in an emailed statement Wednesday that he wasn’t familiar with the specifics of the new case. But he said the earlier Missouri lawsuit was “a purely politically motivated maneuver.”

“China firmly opposes it, will never accept it, and reserves the right to take strong countermeasures,” Pengyu said.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said earlier this year that its actions during the pandemic aren’t subject to U.S. jurisdiction and it doesn’t recognize the ruling.

Some legal experts have cast doubt on whether Missouri can collect on the judgment, because federal law generally shields foreign nations from lawsuits in U.S. courts.

The case has taken an unusual path. U.S. District Judge Stephen Limbaugh initially dismissed the lawsuit in 2022, saying Missouri couldn’t sue China, its Communist Party and seven other government or scientific agencies. But an appeals court allowed one part of the lawsuit to proceed: the allegation that China hoarded personal protective equipment, such as respirator masks, medical gowns and gloves.

After Chinese officials didn’t respond, Limbaugh accepted Missouri’s estimate of past and potential future damages of more than $8 billion, tripled it as federal law allows, and added 3.91% interest until it’s collected.

The lawsuit was originally filed by state Attorney General Eric Schmitt, an ally of President Donald Trump who subsequently won election to the U.S. Senate, and alleged that Chinese officials were to blame for the pandemic. It was carried on by Attorney General Andrew Bailey, another Trump ally who resigned in September to become co-deputy director of the FBI.

Hanaway, a former U.S. attorney and Missouri House speaker, inherited the case when she was appointed state attorney general by Republican Gov. Mike Kehoe.

The Associated Press wasn't immediately able to obtain its own copy of the Chinese-filed complaint. But a copy was linked to Hanaway's news release.

The complaint accuses Missouri, as well as Schmitt and Bailey, of “fabricating enormous disinformation, and spreading stigmatizing and discriminating slanders” that have harmed China's reputation.

Schmitt said he would wear the suit “like a badge of honor” and accused Chinese authorities of “attempting to absolve themselves of all wrongdoing in the early days of the pandemic.”
tl;dr: Missouri sued China (because fuck it why not, China sucks), and while most of the suit was thrown out because states generally cannot sue foreign nations, the part about China hoarding medical equipment during Covid was allowed to continue on, and receive judgment for damages. A federal judge said China owes Missouri about 25 billion bucks, and Missouri officials have been asking Federal officials to help them collect. The Chinese response now is to say: "NO, YOU HURT OUR FEELINGS, YOU ACTUALLY OWE US 50 BILLION DOLLARS INSTEAD, AND YOU MUST SAY SORRY!" Needless to say its a pretty funny situation. I don't think much will come from it, but if Schmitt and Kehoe are able to get Trump's ear and convince him to get China to cough up the cash, then more power to them.

To be fair to German leadership at the time, they were all on meth. Even if the Germans hadn't invaded Russia or unnecessarily declared war on the US (Hitler did so after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, but he was not obligated or required to do so), they did not have the manpower or supplies to deal with the widespread insurgencies throughout Continental Europe that would have sprung up within 5 years.
IF the Germans had not been retarded about their PR with the soviet occupied lands like Ukraine they would not have had to worry about insurgents. When they entered Ukraine there were a lot of people happy to see them.

little nugget I seen floating around. pretty funny that folks don't understand that choking this shit out with endless redtape is much easier than trying remove it with a law or an executive order.
Sure, but it still needs to be put into law for protections of future generations, not just present. We shouldn't let an existential problem for the American people be a carrot on a stick for later.

Sorry Im not going to go off on this point, the image spergio put up just triggered me bad.

Also Spergio are you an old Funhaus fan? the ska joke is way to one the nose for you to not be.

I’m more of a trust but verify guy. He needs to disavow India, or at least Indian visa fraud in some form before he earns my vote.
Dude, Usha’s family came here in like the 70’s, when Indians didn’t even make up one percent of the population. They’re as Americanized as they could be.

I’d feel like the paranoia was warranted if Vance passport bro’d her, but she was born in San Diego.

If theres supposed to be some conspiracy that he’s behind our overtures toward India, rebuffed as they’ve been, it’s more like his pick as VP was a meta overture.

The whole reason we’re interested in India is because India has a bigger population than China, irresolvable conflicts with China, etc etc

@StudMccool don’t know what funhaus is, but I went to the warped tour three consecutive years in my teens

Isn’t this the basis of the settler movement? Not disagreeing with your main point.
Maybe, but the settler movement is just a form of colonialism, its supported and organized by national level organizations, involves incursion into territory in question or 'controlled' by a lesser state, and is not a matter of survival. It has a completely different context and purpose. Suggesting this course of action in response to subversion of one's government is suicide.

I predict you will have your answer the more he is pressed on H1Bs. The abysmal hiring rate, affordability crisis and lack of entry level jobs for young people will be major issues next cycle if you want their enthusiasm and vote.

Fuck the Vance haters. Vance is the ultimate charming debate bro

lol, their faggy conditions make compromise impossible
Well the big part that stuck out to me was that Missouri is just going to take assets owned partially or fully by the Chinks to satisfy the judgement if they won't pay outright, which is based. If this gives us enough reason to take back farmland that has been sold out to the Chinese, I'm all for it.
