VR is a niche market even regarding civilian enthusiasts because it often causes issues for people. What retard thought adding it to a situation where bullets are flying overhead would make it work? They'd almost be better off taping a mini-PDA to an R-Zone. It's not like the lithium lined spit catcher is going to do better at blocking hazards anyway.

First thought: what kind of battery life you getting out of it? If our guys are camping rough do they just die after a day of use? Do they come with solar panels for charging?

My guess is it's just for special forces missions in that case, something they intend to come back from and charge their helmet for the next raid.

Systems like that usually have a hand-cranked charger for extended field operation.

Battery tech of that size is going to be about 3-8 hours MAX emphasis on the lower end.

Battery tech is whats holding back most of the tech boom, if we can get batterys to hold longer charges at smaller sizes reliably a whole new world opens up.

Also its wireless, I know first year cybersecurity students that can turn that thing into nothing but a Nyan cat player or the old crowd favorite

We simply cant find ways to encrypt wireless signals en mass (in military applications) to a level that the OPFOR cant penetrate with relative ease, this is why fiber optic drones became necessary so quickly
