I was actually wondering about this - what does FPS mean in Nerf terms? Is "fps" a thing in Nerf?

Casual examination, thankfully, does not show Nerf Tournaments to be such a widespread thing as to have a body of governing rules- although, it appears hasbro has tried to do so, and refers to "enthusiast clubs" based on locality.

That said, it would not be unusual for an FPS limit to be required, as the same casual perusal does show that modifying nerf guns is not overly difficult and is widespread among enthusiasts. I believe it is also common for airsoft fields to limit FPS of the guns for safety reasons, as well as paintball, but let's be honest, a nerf dart would have to be really trucking along to do any damage with anything outside of a direct poke in the eye.

It's all moot though, because John is being exceptional and clearly that gun is available in the US.

Ummm that's not the same gun Wu is shilling. The one you've linked to is the Atlas and the Nemesis isn't anywhere on the Best Buy site. However the Nemesis IS available in the US like you said. You just need to dish out over a hundred bucks and have six D batteries to waste.

In fact, Wu does have a github account. Created before she became internet famous as a attention seeking moron. She has never so much as filed a bug report or forked someone else's repo, let alone written any code.
