This is just concern trolling built on a bad faith argument to begin with. Nobody is modding the woke out of Dustborn, but if a couple of politi-trash elements in an otherwise decent game can be made to shut up or go away, good.
 
So let it collapse. If we get another gap in big budget games, who the fuck cares? Should I get Obama in here to do cash for clunkers for games? Just play something else
 
If 99% of a game is fine, and 1% is eye-rolling and easily removed with mods, why not do it?

I suppose I could completely boycott Cyberpunk 2077, for example, because of the trannywagon... Or I could just install a mod that removes the troon flag from it, and enjoy everything else in the game. Sure, some games are so overloaded with this shit that, if anyone actually bothered to mod it all out, there would be no game left to play (Dustborn, Veilguard, etc), but nobody is really asking about making those "acceptable", are they?
 
I came back to this thread to ask if anybody knew when Realms Restored 3.0 is releasing for Baldur's Gate 3, but instead I want to take the time to bitch about a different game.

For the most part I enjoy Battlefield 6, but I can't be the only one who notices how much female screaming there is during battles.
The sound balancing is so bad or maybe the high pitch just cuts through the sounds of battle, I legitimately have no idea what the male death screams even sound like.
Obviously since it's a multiplayer-only game with skins and shit, women can't be modded out completely, but I wish somebody would make a mod that just makes all these shrieking banshees shut the fuck up.

Introduction​

Massive update featuring ~750 unique NPC edits across all acts, extensive timeline and cinematic fixes, new head models and textures, 9+ new add-ons including the De-Girlboss mod (see below), a patch for No Alphabets, Assorted Fixes for environmental assets (deity banners, statues, architecture, clothing), character creation improvements, and optional edits for unique characters.

Now for a summary of the changes. This post only covers like a fraction of the total changes in the RPGHQ post, so if you want to see everything, go to the RPGHQ post.

Aesthetics

In addition to taking head assets from other modders without permission, the RPGHQ modders also took armor and body assets from many other mods without permission as well. Here is the list.

Swaps

Swaps received general polishing and quality updates. NPCs were adjusted visually to match their voices, position or title, and their races were swapped again if necessary. Additionally, some NPCs are no longer in Swaps and were moved to the Aesthetic section. A couple portion is re-organization changes.

Undeviled Tieflings

Character Creation (Add-on)

Eye Glow Alt (Add-on)

In this addon, eye glow presets have been tweaked from pinpoint around the pupil type of harsh glow to a circular line on the outer edge with a very faint glow. It was made to be a specifically different and less bright version of the vanilla eye glow that tieflings and dragonborns have.

Additionally, all gemstone colours (topaz, emerald, sapphire, obsidian, and opal), all pinks and purples (minus drow pink and drow purple), a shade of teal and a shade of white now have a similar circular glow.

It is a gentler glow, barely visible in well-lit environment and will mostly stand out only in shadows.

Introduction​

The de-girlboss mod is finally here. Girlbosses are turned into men. Simple as that! 32 NPCs have been converted in this release!

This is a BETA release that we’re hoping to update regularly based on feedback and reports.
The voice lines, visuals, and NPC names have been modded, but we still have to update voice lines referencing the character, pronouns in dialogue selections, and journal entries.
  • Devella Fountainhead was separated from the main 31 NPCs because she has by far the most interactions with other NPCs, journal entries and will be the most incomplete character conversion out of all of them
  • Liara Portyr has a restoral option because that character was mentioned in a D&D book
More de-girlboss transformations of girlboss NPCs are planned in upcoming releases.

Introduction​

Tired of scrolling through mods made by anime twinks? Does Baldur's Gate 3 seem to be bereft of cultural identity?

Look no further! Here are some paks that will correct some off sounding NPC's!

This mod alters the voices of various NPC's that that just don't seem to line up with their race, profession, and general ugliness (Z'rell). The difference between this mod and my previous one (Racially Accurate NPC's) is that there are some races that were overhauled with Realms Restored. An example being that a dwarf that I had previously made sound more dwarf'y is now a human. Some are returning characters from the previous mod.

The race-swaps are optional. Nevertheless, this is the rationale of the modders:

This is an optional mod that selectively changes Race, Sex, Body type and in some cases Maturity of NPCs.

Midgets in leading roles, too many Half-Orcs and a sad lack of straight, Human couples plagues the vanilla game. This mod fixes all that and more! Turn Baldur’s gate back to the “mostly human” city that lore dictates. Note: we didn't just turn NPCs into humans; instead, we made changes on a case-by-case basis, with some NPCs becoming different races even if they were human originally.
  • Gnomes and Halflings no longer hog physically aggressive / leadership roles nor are they torturers.
  • Interracial and inter-fantasy racial couples are now mostly Human, with rare exceptions made for Elf and Human pairs.
  • Hirelings are now more attractive and have more palatable races: e.g. the paladin is now a Strong Human instead of a Half-Orc.
  • Bugbears and Hobgoblins turned Human where appropriate.
  • NPCs have been Race or Age swapped based on their voice / dialogue / role. Swaps include Young → Old and Old → Young.
  • We did not transform everyone to Humans exclusively. Instead, we took careful approach with swapping NPCs according to what would make sense in a set scenario, some NPCs actually were turned into other races despite them already being human before.
  • Mute Female NPCs taking up guard / mercenary / Flaming Fist positions have been turned into Men. Voiced NPCs will be dealt with in a separate De-girlboss mod.
  • More instances of Male Strong body type were introduced for a better visual diversity. Very rare instances of barbaric Female Strong were introduced as well, mostly in place of Female Half-Orcs.
  • More than 400 NPCs were affected by Swaps

That much work could have done to write a campaign with zero wokeness, as the game does have modding tools, no?
You're aware that writing and developing a campaign is way much more work than just changing the appearances and voices of NPCs, right? You are going to have to write quests and plotlines of every single companion, and build set pieces for every setting on top of designing the NPCs. In addition, you're going to have to touch on animation for the custom cutscenes. Finally, you're going to resolve bugs that pop up. In addition, what if the team is not strong with writing storylines? And we are talking about a team of 4 people, who probably have lives outside of modding.

Even so, there only has been one custom campaign released with Baldur's Gate 3, even by the most dedicated Redditor spergs of the community. Made by one person who carried the whole effort, the campaign is extremely incomplete despite being a mini-campaign following the ending of BG3, with 3 quests only done and 25% of the map completed, with no VA dialogue. There has been another campaign approaching its release date and it is being developed by over 130 people.

So instead of developing a campaign that might come out in 10 years with the super-small team that you have and suck out all of your fun from modding, why not make some small changes in the flawed campaign instead to make it more enjoyable instead to save that time? Ultimately, you could achieve a a campaign that is 99% non-woke except the gay pro-migrant and Gortash = Trump themes in Act 3, and the modders can still even challenge themselves to mod to change the story to remove those themes. I honestly think they can de-woke the game successfully if done gradually and given the time, but mainly also have fun enjoying modding as well.

I remembered Tom and Don of Flashgitz bemoaned the fact that people bitched why their custom-made animated series Space King needs to use so much money to develop when you have so many free animation programs and a lot of free time for yourself since Tom and Don are their own bosses, when in reality there is a team of 60+ animators, artists, and musicians that Flashgitz has to pay to make their series with the highest quality but also as timely and efficient as possible.

I swear, people need to be more realistic with this. Even with an effort as autistic as this mod, even the most autistic people still have limits. To bring it back to a quote by @regalterry.
That would require these modders to become game developers, which most are unlikely to do because of other commitments. I agree with you in principle, but realistically it's not going to happen.

The devs should be pandering the kind of people that look for these mods, since we are their paying costumers.

There is no way to make a fictional africa-like setting with niggers interesting. Even wakanda is just a nigger society magically advanced to a White level. Niggers and their continent of origin are boring.

Because the main complainers don’t care. They don’t want a game with a black adventuring protagonist, they want you to make Nathan Drake black.

One of the last tumblr posts I remember seeing was a viral complaint post about how nobody was making those insert fanfic things for Black Panther characters. The comments were full of white leftists making excuses, when they really just didn’t want to write about the black characters in the MCU at all.

These people aren’t genuinely asking for representation, it’s a cudgel for control.

I know, but they took years to do tihs mod and they're still at it, so they have time. I'm not asking for a new game, but rather a new adventure module, like those that were made in Neverwinter. No need for voice acting or anything super-complex.

my only gripe is them NIGGERFYING ORPHEUS, the hair doesn't make sense either as before the emperor got a hold of him and put the guy in a mindball his honor guard could talk to him and thus, cut his hair, he isn't mindballed for a long period of time either to justify a hair growth that big, however they did right by making some old-sounding npcs look actually old.

most of the changes were already made by nexus if you read the RPGHQ thread, they just sifted through the heads and changed a few things here and there, if anything the only mod that has the effort you implied is the gender swap ones like ser aylen or the de-girlboss and that's because of the voice lines.
