Like, look at this recent RT and the phrasing of the things she's RTing: "the reason women want (spaces) should make men ashamed". She fundamentally thinks that men are all naturally predatory against women and they should give in to all of their demands to be a good ally. All of the buzzwords we mock like patriarchy or misogyny or similar are part of her usual speak. The real answer would be men and women deserve their own spaces because they're different and have different needs, that's it.
It gets quite exhausting to say "not all men but those men" when speaking about troons and other men, no one who says "men are more violent than women" mean all men are violent, and to read in that it means every single male on earth is retarded.

Kind of hard not to come to that conclusion when most men have some sort of sketchy episode with women and "consent" in their past, and the "good ones" don't even roundly condemn the overtly predatory ones, instead playing Devil's Advocate for their dear bros.

You have far more in common with those men in dresses you claim to hate so much than you realize, if this was your takeaway.

Women also don't have a magical sixth sense that tells us which men are violent and which men are harmless. Instead, we have a deeply ingrained instinct that tells us to be careful of men we don't know, which is basically all of them. I've never in my life heard of men getting their feelings hurt over this basic fact before Current Era.

I agree with that. I've myself changed my mind about many things during the past ten years, the most politically deranged years I can remember to have lived through, and I'm sure Jo has gone through that as well.

Thing is, she hasn't changed about some things that are too dangerous to society. Like, I know a guy who's a hardcore commie and he's pro-gun. That doesn't make him "based". He is still a moron who happened to have one good idea.

Troons are degenerate savages, not men.

If she wasn't Jo and if she wasn't fighting against troons and she was a common feminist writer, we'd be mocking her tweets for being deranged.
Well, no. JKR absolutely is wrong about many things, but single-sex spaces have not historically been about escaping troons. Men have a monopoly on physical violence.

Obviously, Not All Men™. It is a minority of men who are actually a threat - a small minority, just like the small minority that are troons. Nonetheless women don't have a sixth sense to filter the threats from the good'uns (and, as some will note, are sometimes willingly obtuse on the topic).

Men as a whole SHOULD find these subhumans shameful, and should persecute and marginalize them, same as women ought to be doing to the women who favor demographic-replacement immigration and other fembrained foibles. I doubt Victoria Smith there would concede the latter point, naturally, but surely a man should be able to take responsibility better than this random twitteroid whore.

Speak for yourself. I'm not part of your "we."
If you spat out ten random tenets of second wave feminism I'd probably agree with like eight of them. I won't call myself a feminist because claiming to be a "male feminist" is pretty much an admission of being a creepy sex predator (dog shocking Islamic terrorist Hasan Piker being a very recent example). That said I have no problem calling a woman a cunt or a whore (or a man for that matter) if she is one.

I probably agree more with Rowling's political opinions than I do the prevailing opinions on this site, with some exceptions.

I'm not sure what the mental problem some people have with coming together on one shared issue even if you disagree about nearly everything else. I'm reminded of when you can have some hippie vegan faggots and hunters and fishers agreeing that they don't want a dam built that wrecks the environment for animals they all want around.

They can go back to fighting the next day, just get useful shit actually done that everyone agrees on together.

Every woman who ever had a man who loved them in their life was told by those men to beware of strange men. It wasn't my mom or my girlfriends who took me aside and explained how to hold my keys in my fist when walking at night. Now you get performative "male feminists" crying about that retarded bear hypothetical and how judging a strange man in the woods is as bad as racism.

Another giga-tweet today after a fortnight's silence:

'He has a point, but he's too blunt.'

From the start, a key tactic of the gender identitarians has been linguistic prescription, and it's proved shockingly successful. Trans activists' shibboleths and euphemisms have been allowed to penetrate the upper echelons of our culture with devastating consequences to freedom of speech and belief. Huge swathes of liberal media, the arts, academia and publishing have thrown themselves with gusto into the defence of a quasi-religious belief causing provable real world harm, and in their arrogance they've been outraged when people they assumed were part of their In Group have refused to march meekly along in lock step.

Time and again, I've seen and heard well-educated people who consider themselves critical thinkers and bold truth-tellers squirm when put on the spot. 'Well, yes, maybe there's something in what you're saying, but it's hateful/provocative/rude not to use the approved language/pretend people can literally change sex/keep drawing attention to medical malpractice or opportunistic sexual predators. Why can't you be nice? Why won't you pretend? We thought you were one of us! Don't you realise we have sophisticated new words and phrases these days that obviate the necessity of thinking any of this through?'

As the vibe shifts, and a lot of people in the elite professions start trying to reposition themselves, the obvious place to start is, 'it's not that I couldn't see your point, but did you have to say it that way?' We dissenters were supposed to find a way of questioning the chemical castration of children while calling it 'gender affirming care.' We were meant to defend the rights of vulnerable women while also using female pronouns for male rapists. We should have found a way to discuss fairness for women and girls in sport, while pretending that the ineradicable physical advantage men have over women doesn't exist.

Either a man can be a woman, or he can't. Either women deserve rights, or they don't. Either there's a provable medical benefit to transitioning children, or there isn't. Either you're on the side of a totalitarian ideology that seeks to impose falsehoods on society through the threat of ostracisation, shaming and violence, or you're not. The alternative to being 'blunt' - using accurate, factual language to describe what was going on - was to surrender freedom of speech and espouse ideological jargon that obfuscated the issues and the harms caused. We've always needed blunt people, but we need them most of all when being asked to bow down to a naked emperor.

This is a response-retweet to this one:

Interesting interview with @Glinner on @GBNEWS a few minutes ago about the trans debate. It's interesting how the tide is turning in his favour.
I've seen old friends who shunned him admit he has a point but that he was too blunt. Even that would was unthinkable a few years ago
Odd to see her responding in the comments to LegalTweetz after all her bullshit.

Back to JKR Derangement: unfunny comedian James Acaster who went viral a few years ago with a pro-trans rant on stage feels very sorry for actors cast in Harry Potter. He is absolutly guzzling the kool-aid:

He is the quintesssential woke comedian (like Nish Kumar and that fat, ugly woman, Hannah ???) . I went to one of his stand up programs with a friend who liked him and it was painful. If I want to be preached at, I'll go to church.

What is funny is how he constantly takes cheap shots at people who are objectively more successful than him. First Ricky Gervais and now Rowling.

This is the "rowling derangement syndrome" thread, not the "i'm going to re-litigate gender wars AGAIN because i'm terminally brainrotted and incapable of going for five seconds without bringing up my personal issues" thread.

Anyway

The troon activity under Rowling's posts is shrinking every time. I don't know how much is the algorithm just showing me what it thinks I want to see or what, but these were the only ones that showed up under her latest glinner post. I'm not going out of my way to find more, though.

I don't see much either. The obsessive racists ranting about Snape appear to have given up as well. For TRAs I think it's probably because they were guaranteed a pile-on whenever they replied to her.

Is trans activism actually shrinking? Could it because it was announced that puberty blockers are going back to clinical trials in the UK which seriously impacts the 'it's settled science!' crowd? But damn I hope it's on its way out.

Quite a few are famous:

Adam Lambert sang in Queen
Beth Ditto = former The Gossip singer
Bimini = TV drag queen
Beverley Knight = UK soul singer
Christine and the Queens = French singer's project, now more or less a pooner
Kae Tempest = UK poetess/rapper Kate Tempest, now a pooner so lost a letter. Looks even more unwell than Ellen Page.
Kate Nash = UK pop singer
Sophie Ellis-Bextor = UK pop singer, big in the 00s
Sugababes = very successful girl band that famously ran out of original members a long time ago
Wolf Alice = very successful rock band

The 2nd list are not musicians, they are actors/activists/politicians. That's going to be a lot of talking.
I didn't realsie Kate tempest had pooned out. She is the most annoying, cringe, spoken-word-voice blaccent that screams middle class or if not painfully fucking suggestible, fucker about. It was bleak when they pushed her as something for a while.

That gig is gonna be fucking hillarious though, without a doubt. Anyone who can get some free industry tickets should go and report.

I think that's part of it, but also that there is significant overlap between JKR Derangement and Musk Derangement and so there are just a lot less people of gender on twitter these days.

Kate Tempest is shockingly embarrassing: Intense wigger poetry

Just when you think it can’t get any worse, imagine this “performance” with a pooner frog voice.
