There is plenty of ASMR that is not remotely sexual, but the genre is extremely oversaturated and you will likely only be successful if you do appeal to the coomers.

If you approach it with that attitude it'll always feel weird and gross. Don't do shit that makes you feel weird and gross. If you're actually passionate about ASMR and have video/trigger ideas that haven't been done a thousand times before, or if you have a specific niche that you think you can fill, there's no harm in trying (as long as you don't go out and buy a thousand dollars worth of equipment or something). New ASMR creators take off all the time - people have their favorites but I don't think anyone sticks to just a handful of channels. It's worth a shot!

No hot gossip, but this delightful little autist popped up in my recommended and I thought some of you might like him. I thought it was another one of those AI slop "history" channels (like this or this - seriously what is up with the giant influx of these channels?) but there's at least one video of him actually speaking and if you actually listen to him speak, he fumbles his words (and acknowledges it/laughs about it) quite a bit. Well-researched, interesting, cannot figure out what the fuck that accent is but oh well.

I truthfully think Karuna Satori (Sarah Dishong) deserves her own thread, as well as Ephemeral Rift. Freeze-drying her cat is very in-theme with the bizarre things she posts on her channel.
She originally got her popularity eleven years ago when she started oiling/massaging her naked boyfriend for views, leading to her first viral ASMR video.

In the video Karuna smokes drugs, gets married by witness of an empty church, and to celebrate goes to an arcade with her newly wed. She also claims that Goodnight Moon was not dating PJ at the time but was actually dating a female (Ruby something?) who was engaged to a transwoman. Angelica doesn't seem to grasp the concept of polyamory and how degenerate the freaks who do it are (so sexual assault is basically to be expected), but I know I've heard something before about GM being tangentially connected to a trans woman, who IIRC has some allegations of his own?? Looks like GM confirms part of the story, with the mitigating factor that Angelica initiated and GM went along with it.
I need to address an accusation that’s been made about an encounter that happened at Vidcon in 2019. I’m going to explain my memory of that night as directly as I can. That evening, the three of us (Angelica, PJ, and I) were drinking together. All 3 of us drank throughout the evening, and continued drinking when we returned to my hotel room. Eventually, the three of us all fell asleep in the same bed.Sometime in the middle of the night, I was woken up half-drunk by the feeling of Angelica on top of me with her mouth on mine, kissing me. I started kissing her back, and then she moved her hand down my pants. I started to reach my hand down her pants too, but she immediately stopped my hand in place by grabbing it. The moment she stopped me, I removed my hand and did not try again. We continued kissing for a short time. I was physically beneath her, with her straddling me, for the entire encounter. Soon after that, PJ woke up and tried to join in. She shrugged him off and climbed off of me and went to the bathroom. We walked her back to her hotel room shortly after.I had no idea that she was feeling negatively about me/that night until a couple of days later, after several vidcon related gatherings with other asmrtists, who I chatted with as normal. I did see that ASS was in it, and GM and other people who I didnt recognize.

Gibi - they did a collab but were not ever friends, her husband was Angelica's manager until she went traddy and then he dropped her. She insists that she and Gibi were not ever friends and says it annoys her when people make comments about them "not being friends anymore" because they were not friends.
ASMR Node - they "dated" for a time but it seems like it was a very middle school relationship since she later refers to a boyfriend who was her "first real boyfriend ever" and who she was dating at the time of the assault. Nothing but nice things to say about Node.
