Several people were shot in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, including at least one member of the US National Guard, according to a source familiar with the early reports and a law enforcement official.

The shooting occurred in downtown Washington, DC, near the White House. DC Metropolitan Police said on X that they are at the scene of a shooting in the area and advised people to avoid the area.

The National Guard did not immediately respond to request for comment. The circumstances of the shooting are not immediately clear.

National Guard troops from multiple states have been in Washington, DC, for months as part of President Donald Trump’s anti-crime crackdown in the nation’s capital, which has since expanded to other cities across the country.

CNN has reached out to the Pentagon, the National Guard, the White House and DC’s metropolitan police for comment.

The CIA literally imported the terrorist who did this shooting. Anyone in the military that allowed the flights of terrorists to enter this country should be arrested as accessories. The government loses its mind when someone straw purchases a gun used in a school or gang shooting. But the same government is now importing mass levels of violent savages and terrorists and arming them and allowing them to wander the streets and shoot at uniformed guards.

Arresting the shooter does not really address the main issue. That the government is deliberately flooding this country with violent mongrel criminals and terrorists. And then giving them CIA jobs that allow them access to firearms. This isn't the first CIA worker to kill a few people either. And who knows how many other spree killers or criminals are also working for the government secretly and it never gets revealed publicly.

Importing one is a bad idea. At this point sending them back is just letting them reorganize in another country.

We got ALOT deported. It's not like no one was deported. Some of the criminals are more slippery than others, and there's interference being run. It'd be great if EVERY violent and/or illegal shitskin was yeeted in six months, but let's be realistic.

So this was one of the guys who had to flee Afghanistan because he made the mistake of helping Americans, only to find out that he would be sent back because there's a deportation quota now. I'd probably snap, too, people like him have lost family because the Taliban can't punish these refugees directly.
