Nobody ever talks about the plot outside of the Morality Bullshit
Nobody ever talks about the actual gameplay mechanics
Nobody talks about the characters aside from Sans memes.

Hell 99% of what I know about the game comes entirely from the fact I used to watch Mat Pat and I am still not sure I could tell you the actual games plot because all I know is "There is some flower monster that knows you can reload saves after you die and wants to use that to become immortal" and "If you genocide shit Sans shows up to kick your shit in"

People regularly discuss the monster-human war, the other souls, unseen parts of the underground, what happens after the ending.
I barely see the morality thing come up.

Most of the "mechanics" are Toby just playing with the set dressing but UNDERTALE definitely leans towards the "action" side of "action RPG".

There's plenty of discussion regarding character backstories and motives.
This can be disproven just by looking at the fanart. Most of the fanart isn't Sans.

There does exists more than a few online cults that will swear on their grave that Undertale's story is very 2deep4u, we require a high enough IQ to understand it etc.

And it's like, naw, the story is below-average at best and at worst the "morality" is very obviously aimed at tugging at the heartstrings of players who have very-low-to-nonexistent emotional intelligence.

I kind of do like how Toby did use the 'morality' as far as manipulating the game code is concerned but that's another topic entirely.

I think Honka is referring to the general public at large, not moreso the specific youtube channels that discuss undertale in length, but I could very well be wrong with that.

Normally I'd be okay with that, but I don't like how much of the "action" in UT is drawn out in the battles of the latter part of the game.

I guess it depends on where one is lurking to specifically come across that stuff. It's definitely plentiful on tumblr, but that's about it. If there are any other places, then I just don't know about it.

Nobody talks about UT's gameplay because it's an open secret that is a crap. Its fans know that, they just say it like " Deltarune is better" (it isn't).

It reminds me of how hilarious the Underverse concept was.
They were supposed to be alternate timelines in the game to explore all the possibilities... and 99% of the content was just edgy recolors of Sans.

Later on in the series, Lars gets abducted by Gems with Steven, and the two end up at the Gems' Homeworld. After him and Steven escape from the later being put on trial for the murder of Pink Diamond (on his long-dead mother's behalf), Lars dies. And Steven manages to revive him using a magical revival power that he just so happens to have, except said revival turns Lars pink. Steven then escapes back home by diving into Lars' hair, which brings him to a pocket dimension tied to his pink pet lion. After Steven returns home and status-quo/filler episodes continue to happen, Lars forms a rag-tag group of pirates with a bunch of malformed gems he met earlier, hence the Harlock-style cape, which got a dedicated episode and an entire upcoming spinoff series.

All of this is real, by the way.

This makes it even worse.... I am glad I only watched the pilot out of curiosity back in the day. And for such a tiny, minute detail, they want a whole fucking Spin Off? Jesus fucking Christ. What comes next? A whole Troon and LGBTQIALMNOP+ Dating Sim at some point based on Steven Troonieverse?

Funnily enough he slipped on several occasions calling Frisk "him", most notably when a porn artist and Shadbase contributor Zonkpunch tweeted at him.

I found a ton of information on someone I thought deleted everything pre-2012, and that set production back by a bit. I'm back on track to release this thing late this month/early next month.

You should think about publishing a book when this is all said and done. All that cataloged information about an era is always super interesting and useful for seeing how and why some things are today. I think this sort of thing has a lot potential outside of KF. I'd buy it.
 
I'm expecting a plot-twist with this one. Don't disappoint me (but it's still gonna be great).
