There are media reporting citizens being detained and held even for long periods of time before release. Whether there is reason for it or it’s just big meany bigots being mean I haven’t actually given a shit to look into though. I know there was a story about some dude held for 73 days though. Pretty much every single incident of a citizen being detained was either mistaken identity, or the citizen was actively interfering with an ICE raid and got arrested as a result. But of course, CNN reports that as ICE randomly arresting every brown person they see.
