he's clearly talking about the Taiwanese, likely the
TSMC. The giant plant in Arizona, for example, brings a lot of them over to train US workers and then usually sends them back.
I've been on edge about him ever since the interview but there's 0 chance he's talking about Indians here. When's the last time Indians manufactured quality, if any, semiconductors? all they manufacture is shitty chatGPT-generated software
I have such issue with this everyone knows about TSMC the only company making 90% of semiconductors
But who makes their machines for them? You ever think about that?
Assumed they built them themselves? WRONG!
Dutch Company jackass, introducing hyper important company with a acronym name number 2
So there is one company in the whole world who makes the machines that only one other company in the whole world knows how to use to make high level chips at scale
and guess what, there is even a THIRD leg to this shit
without the highest quality raw silicon and the super complicated machine TSMC cant make the chips, at all levels of this there is the HIGHEST level of corporate and state secrecy, so when I say it would be easier to invade Taiwan or the Netherlands to get this tech from them than by any other means, I mean it.
to the best of our knowledge no one man knows entirley how any one of the 3 process work, let alone the whole thing.
So the idea we are doing anything other than making a factory they own every bit of other than the final product is absurd. We are getting production capacity, not knowledge how to make the stuff. All we did was move the factories closer to the stores but the manufacturing is still all 100% owned and operated by foreign entities.
TSMC is opening a factory here, not teaching intel how to manufacture 3 NM chips at scale thats a big fuck off diffrence. They wont employee Americans for anything other than distribution. And before you say it, if we could reverse engineer the way they do it we wouldent be here in the first place.
