What concerns me is how long this has been going on. Typically, narcissists cannot tolerate boredom, being ignored or stagnation. If they are not being entertained or validated, they move on much faster than Nick has. That is why I keep pointing out how unnervingly obsessive and persistent he is, even while getting zero validation. He keeps circling back to his obsessions with no self-control and no external incentive. He doesn't move on.

Not accurate, actually. Both Nate and Nick have acknowledged 'making up' and being in communication. IIRC that was last spring? Late last winter? Giving Runkle the benefit of the doubt (we probably shouldn't, but lets just say) we don't know how Nick phrased asking to come on or how it was agreed he'd show up. I don't get why Runkle wouldn't have asked Kurt about it, he can't be that unaware.
