Since we are talking about China, I noticed that there didn't really seemed to be much of Ethan and Hasan's discussion on socialism and China archived here, so I downloaded and crudely cut some of it up (It's hard to make smaller cuts since Hasan keeps rambling on).

A throughline here is that Hasan usually gives somewhat of a nod to the obvious answer (Tibet being one of the times he really goes full Colonizer), but his simping for China and dislike of the west always shines through. He says that taiwanese people should decide who controls them, and says that a war with China would be "bad", but this is after he had real trouble saying that Taiwan should be independent, and when pressed on it he goes on and on about how it was a brutal fascist dictatorship propped up by the US etc. When Ethan presses him on anything he drops into saying the west and the US is worse. Always. Quite often that tangent ends up with not even answering the question, but if he has to condemn anything, the west is worse.
It's extremely obvious that Hasan is moderating himself in this discussion, but he can't hide the hard-on he gets from this country that embodies most of the things he supposedly hates about the west.
