Adolf Hitler likely had a sexual disorder, only one testicle and possibly a micropenis, according to new DNA analysis, which also debunked the claim that he had Jewish ancestry.

The ground-breaking research, led by forensic DNA specialist Professor Turi King and historian of Nazi Germany Dr Alex Kay, was conducted for a new two-part documentary, Hitler’s DNA: Blueprint of a Dictator, airing on Channel 4.

Discussing the findings, Professor King told BBC Radio 4: "I have some wonderful colleagues at the Pasteur institute who found that he has a deletion in a gene which we know is strongly associated with a condition known as Kallmann syndrome, which is characterised by low testosterone levels, by abnormal development of the sexual organs, and in 5 - 10 per cent of cases, a micropenis.”

Discussing how the DNA findings seem to give weight to historical rumours about the Nazi dictator’s sexual development, notably as the British wartime song Hitler Has Only Got One Ball, Professor King added: "We cannot say for certain about the state of his genitalia… but there are historical documents which talk about him having right-sided cryptorchidism, so an undescended testicle, and rumours about him having under-developed genitalia – so it’s lovely when you marry the genetics with the history.”

Although the Führer’s physical and mental state have long been a topic of interest, this is the first time his DNA has been analysed – with the team using blood from a scrap of fabric said to be from his “suicide couch”, held at the Gettysburg Museum of History in Pennsylvania.

The analysis similarly ruled out the long-running conspiracy theory that the Nazi leader had Jewish ancestry, a claim prominently repeated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in 2022.

Alongside the research into his physical health and ancestry, the team also commissioned tests to try and understand more about Hitler’s psychological state.

Explaining the findings by the team at Aarhus University, who used the DNA to give Hitler a polygenic score, Professor King revealed: "He’s in the top one per cent for schizophrenia, autism and bipolar.

“We are at pains to say, this does not mean that he had any of those conditions,” she added. “It is not diagnostic. But it is of course fascinating given who this individual is, that he does have that genetic predisposition towards those conditions.”

Discussing the ethics of the work, Dr Kay said: “I think there’s a certain duty to take advantage of this incredible opportunity that we’ve been given to learn more about him,” adding he was particularly pleased to “put to bed this rumour that he may have had Jewish ancestry”.

King was born in Nottingham, England. She moved to Canada at an early age and was brought up in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2000, she started her doctoral research as a Wellcome Trust Prize Student at the University of Leicester (UK), specialising in genetic genealogy and "in tracing migration patterns by using genetics." King's research initially centered around genetics, genetic genealogy, forensics, and surnames, and using aspects of human DNA such as the Y chromosome to track past human migrations.

I can't say for sure without my caliper, but it looks like the author has the skull shape of a gossip, a childless spinster, and, worse still, an Englishwoman.

I hate how this dna stuff is used. A deletion (he doesn’t say if it’s clinically significant or one of the many non clinically significant ones) in a gene that MAY be associated with a disorder that he shows no other signs of, which in 5% of cases causes micropenis.

And here I am defending hitler but ffs this is bad bad science. Kallman syndrome patients don’t complete puberty properly. They often have cleft palate, and skeletal abnormalities, sometimes kidney issues, and they have either almost no or no sense of smell, it’s highly unlikely he’d have been passed through whatever medical you had for the army in WW1 with this.
Apparently Kallman can be autosomal dominant or recessive depending on the gene. Since the article doesn’t elaborate on which gene he had, you can assume it’s the one you need diploid copies for and they only found one, meaning 0% chance he even had the condition.

That’s on top of the fact that whatever they found probably wasn’t even his DNA.

While the micropenis is one of the newer claims, or atleast something that I've only heard of in recent years, the one testicle thing has been going around for at the very least over 20 years.

We've also known that Hitler had a piss fetish, especially when his niece stood over him and pissed on him. That being said, he clearly had no qualms about incest, and there was some ongoing mentionings that he enjoyed being Lucky Pierre.

So yeah, none of this shit is news.

Seems unlikely to me.

Hitler was the most "normal" person out of a seriously fucked up family of inbred retards (like a lot of his relatives were or had been in lunatic asylums). He went to great efforts to cover up his embarrassing family history.

So chances are he avoided the micropenis problem. Eva didn't seem to mind even if he did.
I have never heard claims that Hitler's family was inbred. Can you please explain this more?

Hitler was ashkenazi. Like all ashkenazis, he had no jewish DNA or lineage.

He didnt have one ball or micropenis, he was just a gay speed addict

Exactly. It’s just like the fit vegan ginger saying she’s got cystic fibrosis when she’s actually got some random NCS mutation. Like every single one of us here will have on some gene somewhere.
Until I see confirmation it’s actually hitlers dna, and the actual sequence itself, it’s, dare I say, bollocks.
My god I hate these people. I’m defending hitler online. That’s how bad they are. make it stop

57 years actually. The claim originated from a very dubious soviet source in 1968. The person wrote a book claiming to have had firsthand knowledge of the Soviet Autopsy in 1945 even though he was just a soviet military interpreter in the war. When they examined the burned, buried and exhumed body of Hitler in 1945, they supposedly could only find one testicle in the remains. Which given the state of the body was perhaps not shocking.

Being the greatest journalistic source in the world, the BBC then in the 1970s popularized the one testicle thing through their documentary series "World at War". Because few news sources were more familiar with crackpot soviet publications than the communists at the BBC.

And it went on from there.
