The problem is the status quo politicians are like a train which steams along and doesn't stop, you can only get out of the way or completely derail them.

Trump is like a horse, you actively have to sit on his back and whip him with a crop or pull his reigns to keep him in the right direction moving along.

He is not a hands off president, you leave him to his own devices and he's going to start breaking things and just doing shit. Thankfully he's proven that if his base gives him enough shit he's willing to change his mind or adapt.

People on this site will gladly cheer on the deaths of millions and talk about how we need to gas and destroy minorities but when the weed and porn is in danger they go full liberal. Why defend these moral degeneracies? I understand muh freedoms, but less weed and porn is a good thing for society

Honestly, it baffles me that Trump can say he's going to flood US universities with Chinese students and bring in even more Indians to "train" US workers for multiple decades and not be impeached by his own party.

Alas, we'll have to wait until after the mid terms to see him impeached for the second time because he chose his donors over the people.

Because he is, and although many including myself were willing to look past that in 2016, 2020, and 2024 as he seemed like an outsider who was willing to genuinely put the U.S. and its people's interests first, his recent fuckups show that's what he still is, and it's not changing just because he puts out some platitudes on Truth or X.

He had the best excuses in the world for his first term. He doesn't now. That's the major difference.

The thing with the hemp ban that annoys me is that it's entirely just big business and states getting angry that people are buying cheaper weed and not paying their marked up prices and state taxes on it, they aren't going to get rid of weed stores, they're just making it so that you have no options and must pay them MORE FUCKING MONEY.
