This is what stands out to me, too.

If this was any other leftist politician, or whatever the usual crowd here would be chomping at the bit to condemn them, but because it's a republican, and more specifically Trump, they're dead silent.

I don't believe so. I believe there are enough Republicans who hate Donald Trump and Democrats to collude on this issue. Although even if they do that the man has evaded impeachment and lawfare many times, so Epstein mentioning him in some emails doesn't seem like it will inflict enduring damage. All they really want is for Trump to be a dirty word in 2028 when they can all try again.

Because from what I'm reading there doesn't seem to be actual new info here (if the victim is who I think it is), which seems strange because I assumed this would be a pretty big smoking gun.

It essentially boils down to Trump was hanging out with the woman who said he never did anything to her (which we already knew), Trump got pissy at Epstein trying to recruit at his businesses and told him to fuck off (which we already knew) and Epstein saying he could try to blackmail Trump with his visits if Trump denies being on the plane/house (which we already knew).

This just seems to be corroborating points that most people already knew about.

This isn't a lot, but literally anything getting released, any sign of progress and further disclosure, is an objectively good thing.

The accusation of politicians being flagrant pedos is touching the third rail, there's no discussion there because no one is disagreeing with the brave 'n bold statement of "kill your local pedo". Everyone is going to use it as ammo whether or not there's a smoking gun or implication of wrongdoing. The poster that said if there was any politician, on either side, stating in plaintext in fucking email "hey let's diddle some kids tonight" I'm sorry for typing that sentence is right, if it was there it would be public knowledge right now leaving all the speculation and implications whipping people into a frenzy over it without a second thought. Never mind the blowback, the big P is a killshot.

And I hate to consult the graph on this, but nothing is going to happen as a result. This is just noise for the talking heads to slapfight over while debating crates of hot dogs or sauna entertainment or missing basements or whatever. You're just not finding it in the emails, they've had the better part of a decade to make sure of that.
