It's not like I've had any love for the US for the past couple of decades - renunciation has been something I've been thinking about since W got re-elected. However, the fact remains that now that Trump has the green light from SCOTUS to deny us accurate passports, and the fact that I live outside of the US, I see no benefit to keeping US citizenship - especially since my current US passport expires in January 2027.

Yes, I know this will make me stateless but I don't care. I'm already functionally stateless anyway. I can't get an accurate passport from my country of citizenship anymore, I am extremely unlikely to get any sort of protection from the US and I am sure as shit not planning to come back to the United States any time soon. I'm also close enough to the end of my permanent residence application in Canada that by the time I actually get an appointment, I'll already have PR. So, I don't see any benefit to continuing to have US citizenship, but I do see plenty of drawbacks. Namely, FATCA and having to file taxes to a country that is actively persecuting other trans women. Hard fucking pass.

I was planning to wait until I got (or even got close to applying for) Canadian citizenship. But I have shit I want to do and I want to be able to get some sort of travel document so I can have the last couple of procedures I need to finish my transition. And I will need to travel internationally to have them so I need a travel document. A certificate of identity where I have to apply for a visa from pretty much every country I go to but has an accurate biodata page is better than a passport from a country that falsely asserts that I'm "male".

Comments try to talk him out of it, so I tentatively conclude that this is not troon orthodoxy at the present time, though it is characteristically troon in its way.

Slight PL -- I have a cringey middle name I never use but it's on my passport.
As far as I'm concerned all passport has to do is get me past checkpoints.
I also prefer it to be not fraudulent, just to be on the safe side.

I had no idea what was going on, saw him sitting on a sound system and walked right up. I asked, “hey, don’t you run XYZ?” I knew he was trans so deliberately avoided terms like “dude” or “bro”. Dude stares at me and goes “yeah”. I say, “so what’s the deal with all these people?” “Can’t you read?” “Uh, yeah, but I know you lead such-and-such and thought you might have more insight.” “Suurreeee…..” At that point I just said, “okay, best of luck with your project” and left.

I was literally baffled. This dude was running to be an elected official and he couldn’t manage a fucking smile at someone trying to be his friend. Why the fuck are they so rude? Is it just autism and Y chromosomes making them so damn irritable?

"Women have long hair, men have short hair" is a norm that is upheld by every transman who is utterly gobsmacked that her bowlcut doesn't make her pass as a man. The "queers" who say that their heterosexual relationship is actually totally gay and queer and subversive cause sometimes the man does the dishes and has a septum piercing are also depending on and upholding sexist norms.
The only social norm that trans ideology seems to actually want to destroy is the norm that children belong with their parents, and that children can't consent to irreversible cosmetic surgery, which is real fucking creepy if you ask me.

Oddly enough I've had this happen with pooners. There's the occasional one that's chill and nice that I've met outside of work but I've noticed a trend of the ones at work having some sort of weird resentment towards me. I absolutely do not show my powerlevel about thinking gender ideology is bullshit. I almost never talk about politics at all, I probably just seem like a milquetoast centrist. But the 2 pooners we've had come and go at the job would look at me like I just grew a second head when I'd try to be friendly. Never outright mean but seemed annoyed by my existence. They acted like that to some other people too, but were perfectly nice and chatty to others, it was so arbitrary. I shared some interests with both of them too, I'd compliment a keychain or whatever, and was lucky to get an uninterested "thanks". I'm not sure what makes me give out an anti-pooner aura without intending to. Do they resent that a less "gender conforming" woman (I don't even look butch or anything, just dress in baggy pants and don't wear makeup on the job since it's not practical for the work I do) still accepts she's a female instead of pooning out? Do they just sniff out and resent other autists? Do I just give off chud vibes? Who knows. Never had any issues with the other people at work.

The idea of a happy and content GNC woman completely destroys them.
