I'm very sure she was in Vegas because at one time I noticed and thought about calling out in a comment that Vegas was the most spoopy city in America because it somehow ended up as home for both the Litch Queen and Luna the Big Headed Potato Tard Baby. I know that isn't up to the rigorous autistic documentation standards the Farms usually have, but I feel like "I know this because I've already laughed about it" cares more weight here than it would elsewhere.

I vaguely remember that it was her mom who moved to Vegas while she stayed got left behind, but I could be misremembering things. Either way, it seemed like Ashley was 'alone' in the sense that she didn't have close family nearby, but maybe she wanted it to seem that way, idk. It's interesting that Thea edited her comment (and I'm glad somebody caught the original before she did) on ED Support omitting that Ashley was on hospice (which, medically speaking, means she was given 6 months or less to live by a HCP), so I wonder if maybe her mom didn't move back in with her at some point this year.

So, now we know where she lived haunted, how we confirm she's truly dead?
Honestly, I've thought about just asking the girl for proof (because she is literally the only person that has put the rumors out there), but I don't think she'd open up, or even respond.

If you're talking about the OP on the ED forum, I guess it would be difficult to prove if all they have to go by is a phone call with the landlord.

The poster posts this:

Talks about how there's no obituary yet.

Not sure how this works, personally. If the mother had claimed her, and no cremation was done, I guess a funeral would have been held long ago. And an obit would, by default, be posted online?

If the state goes ahead and cremates automatically, I guess there's no rush for a funeral, but what actually happens after cremation by the state? No funeral for the "lonely"? No obit?

There's no rules, really. If you have someone cremated and collect the ashes, you've done your duty according to the state. You need death certificates to close accounts, etc, but those aren't public online, and part of getting the remains dealt with. If there's no real property or relatives fighting over money dealing with the estate is easy. You're still supposed to deal with probate, but a lot of people don't if there's nothing to the estate. What does she have? Nothing, really. Everything goes to her mom.

Obits are optional and fairly expensive, the one newspaper obit I was involved in cost like $2 a word.

The truth is, death is pretty lonely for the deceased, and the family once the first wave of sympathy is over.

We may never get confirmation. It's really sad, even if she was an awful person.

Why not? You don’t have to say you are from the evil kiwi Farms, just say you’d been in touch with her sporadically over the years and are sad to hear of her passing. Ask if there was a funeral, or a grave you can leave flowers at, or ask if her mom took her back to Florida? Imply you are in Las Vegas or will be and would like to leave flowers. . Maybe you can get enough details to confirm.

Death certificates are mandatory, but in Nevada you have to be a direct relative to get a copy . Obituaries are not mandatory, and as posted above, they can be very expensive, a family member of mine died and it cost almost $500.00. And what can be said about Ashley’s life anyway? She was born, she didn’t eat, she got mean, she died? Her greatest accomplishment was she weighed 40 lbs?

The worst that can happen is you write and ask is you don’t get an answer.

(I don’t consider this “pozloading my negholep” since she’s likely dead.)

It's a pity her body wasn't donated to science or that we're never gonna read the autopsy. Whoever handled her body probably was very curious as we are.

I guess, it's for the best. Imagine some poor bastard being given her body and asking "Jesus, how was she even alive?!" without knowing this was an invocation and she then respawns.

Somewhere back in this thread I think someone in the medical field mentioned that skeletal cadavers aren't entirely uncommon and they're all kind of the same inside. Whatever scientific interest Ashley held probably died with her, if she is indeed dead.

Anorexic and very low bodyweight cadavers are not uncommon and if you've seen one you've seen them all. She didn't have any novel underlying medical issue or fancy tumor causing her problems. It was all in her brain, so there wouldn't be much for the pathologist to comment on other than her teeny tiny heart.

(And she probably died of cardiac arrest if she didn't top herself. Many of them eventually do. The heart is a muscle and probably went the way of all her other musculature at the end.)
