If the Republicans won't nuke the filibuster themselves, surely there's some legal theory to declare it unconstitutional, right?

Yes, the Senate has the power to declare their own rules (Article I Section 5). However, it is also declared that a bill passes the House and the Senate by a SIMPLE majority (Article I, Section 7). This filibuster is blatantly violating a section of the Constitution and is essentially clogging up one of three branches of our government to be non-functional, causing a fucking power grab between the judiciary and the executive.

Can we sue the Senate?
This goes back to what I was saying about the judiciary. Who is the aggrieved party, and what equitable outcome are we looking for? Does the individual or legislature itself become a party that loses their rights? If so, we should absolutely be able to sue and seek relief. But that should've applied to every single gosh darn lawsuit from the elections in 2020 that was rejected for "standing" reasons. But again, i am not a lawfag I'm just a farmer of rare australian land birds who thinks English Chancery is a gay thing to rely on.

In American transgender news:
A Georgia police officer is under investigation after confronting and “misgendering” a man pretending to be a woman using the women’s bathroom at a public library

“There are women and little girls in there, and I have to protect them!”

Why is it always a tranny that looks and sounds like Andre the Giant?

Oh.
Your brothers died so that your country could get eternally ass raped by Muslims. You were forced to see the people who pointed out this change were labeled by the moniker you fought against. Was ww2 really a war worth fighting for nearly 100 years after its end, was the blood worth it just to see your culture, your faith, your country be slowly eroded by people who hate you and want to kill you? "The Judicial system made up a rule that says they have the right to do something that isn't explicitly enumerated within the constitution, based on their opinion regarding the rights of the individual vs the duty of the office, and if that isn't the case the constitution isn't binding."

How is Marbury vs Madison being applied here, again?
What individual rights are being taken away by Trump?
If not, what right does the judiciary have to interfere with a policy that Marbury vs Madison applies to? How does Marbury vs Madison give the judiciary the ability to stop the executive from executing the duties of the president and the executive branch? Makes no sense to me, but I didn't go to "Precedent > Law" school.
It’s not. It’s literally just another TRO pulled out of a judge’s ass. TROs have nothing to do with judicial review.

It doesn’t matter because there’s no method for the Judicial branch to enforce such a ruling. I suppose Trump could force Congress to take a vote, but that would be opening a can of worms.

The proper legal solution to a do-nothing Congress is Article V. The fact that it’s never been used actually demonstrates its effectiveness: Congress will act before article V happens.

Oh.
Listen, the UK for Lord knows why was the first country where some nigger decided the steam engine actually was kinda bussin

For like 400 years the UK just rolled up to any place with a coastline and massacred the men with machine guns when their opponents still just practiced ritual combat with carved fruits and then took the beautiful women and natural resources

Now 400 years later we have an entire global south bereft of their natural resources, much higher male to female ratio and the women their look like dogs(for the most part) and with a hatred for the white man

Like im not sitting her arguing in favor of one side or the other, yall need to realize what I put down above is just plain fact

Real quick though experiment, take us back to the year 1578 and we are all on norther Ireland. If niggers had figured out boats and steam engines first (I know I know, its just a hypothetical) and then invaded us and we spent the next 400 years watching them systematically take our most beautiful women and steal all the natural resources how would you feel about them?

I dont mean to cast judgment but it would almost seem like today is the UKs finally reaping exactly what they sowed

Id love to hear pushback on this idea as its just half formed, I really do struggle to square how the UK spent so long at such heights to now beg Muslims if its ok to go into certain neighborhoods in their own country

if they won't take the power why do you think they'll use it?
it's gonna end up at best like dragonball
they got the wish time, they dick around arguing, and lindsey graham yells for panties

What is he even asking the supreme court for, and why in the world is he doing this ? I keep on hearing conflicting statements from him and then his lawyers

@obsdj you some kind of lawyer? You seem to enjoy keeping track of this shit, so please help a cracker out....what is going on?

Either way this is definitely bad optics. Is drumf senile sperging again?

Genetic fallout from losing their best and brightest young men in WWI (especially) and II, coupled with the humiliation of seeing their empire crumble after the latter.

I don't give a shit if they use it I just don't like 1/3 of my government being fucking gridlocked for decades while the country rots. Maybe our politicians won't have an excuse to pass only one 3,000-page bill per year, and they'll actually have to put some work in.
