Oh, and then the AI company monetizes my work. And that's really what comes down to. I produced some content, and now a tech billionaire wants to take my content and use it to make money without paying me for it.
If felting every obnoxious twitter/bluesky/whatever gay site artist means that more money is given to the tech billionaires, then so be it.

Oh, and one other thing, another party that's been injured by OpenAI's practice is any company that was working on AI legally, meaning they made sure they had legal rights to any content they were using to train their models. Sam Altman didn't invent the DNN or even the DNN-trained chatbot. His main "innovation" was to declare that copyright law doesn't apply to what he's doing and do an end-run around getting permission to use others' content, while a whole bunch of suckers were out there using data with permission like total chumps, which naturally is slower and more expensive. Wish the rest of us were smart enough to realize we could just steal everything as long as we get the press to run cover for us.
I'm trapped between hating copyright law for being gay and retarded and hating JeetAI for poisoning all wells of human knowledge with hallucinatory shit babble tuned to psychologically fuck us.

The thing that is confusing is if I am flying from say, SeaTac to LAX to then an international airport like NRT or ICN. One of my flights is like that.
United Airlines released a statement on the reduction, saying long-haul international and hub-to-hub flights will not be impacted.

In the spring of 711, a Muslim army invaded Iberia led by Tariq ibn Ziyad, serving the Arab governor Musa ibn Nusayr, at Guadalete they swiftly defeated Roderick the Visigoth King and then marched northward to the Visigoth capital of Toledo. Both Latin and Arabic chroniclers record that the Jews of the city “opened the gates of Toledo” to Tariq, who conquered the city.
Is this meant to be a "DA JOOS" post? The rules of warfare were that any city that resisted was open to a sacking, The Visigothic army was annihilated at Quadalete along with much of the nobility, what kind of defence did Toledo have following the battle? Opening the gates to the city to prevent a brutal sacking was probably the smartest thing any jew has done in history.

It was very clearly metaphorical allegory to modern history but go off.

The average American woman: *still cosplays that dumb Handmaiden's Tale shit because some states won't let them murder their full term babies under the taxpayer's dime*

Also the average American woman: *overwhelmingly votes for a candidate who is pro-Sharia Law and who has clearly stated that domestic abuse will not be a priority for the police under his watch*

The 19th Amendment was a mistake. lmao.
Reminds me of this political cartoon I saw online that is likely now hard to find.

Man: "Homosexuality is an abomination and women should stay at home."

Liberal Woman: "How horrible! You must be a Republican."

Man: "I am Muslim and those are my beliefs."

Liberal Woman: "I'm so sorry. Please don't think of me as Islamophobic."

"We should shift more rights from individuals to corporations because some of the individuals who will get trampled are irritating libtards" might backfire in surprising ways.

And let's just be really clear that what OpenAI is arguing for isn't abolishing copyright law. It's that copyright law should restrain everyone except them. You still won't be allowed to go to github, grab some GPL code, and sell it in a closed-source project. But OpenAI can go to github, grab some GPL code, encode into DNN weights, and then sell it to you. But then if the original creator discovers that the code served up to you by OpenAI was theirs, they can still sue you, but OpenAI is immune.

In other words, they're arguing that they, and they alone, should live in a Copyright Exclusion Zone that doesn't apply to anyone else, because what they do is just so heckin' cool.

my tism is acting up today it would seem.
It's okay, some of you limeys are okay.

I have this somewhere.

OpenAI is run by a psychopathic scamming butt plunging faggot. Everything about it from its scammy company history to the psychologically abusive and falsehood ridden output of its products is poisonous. Right now the US is in a Roko's Basilisk situation where an ouroboros of AI-driven fintech bullshit is shoving all the money in the economy into the biggest bubble in history because retards think they can have a jeet coded markov chain make optimal decisions for them while they snort coke and get drunk. The bubble will pop worse than the dotcom bust; every single AI product is a financial black hole that these companies are giving away for free. It rapes the environment worse than shitcoin mining. Every decision it makes is clouded in hallucinations and politically poisoned takes that run contrary to reality. Nobody is getting good results out of it. Once the bubble pops there's going to be a huge reckoning against all the theft and lies companies like OpenAI are responsible for. GPT shit has only been on the market for 3 years, give it time and it'll all come crashing down.

They ackshually had good stone walls originally built by the Romans & further worked on by the Goths themselves a couple decades before the fall. With said walls, even a small army could have held out against an overwhelmingly superior foe for a long time, especially in the Dark Ages where storming stone fortifications was basically suicide for anyone without expert siege engineers & engines (which Tariq's army didn't because they were basically an oversized raiding warband operating on the extreme far end of anything the Umayyads had resembling a supply line). The fact that the city only fell because the Jews opened its gates, and a bunch of Gothic nobles were executed afterward, indicates that an actual effort was made by those inside to fight for the Visigoth capital; a Gothic noble named Oppa is speculated to have been briefly declared king there by his supporters and would have probably led such resistance, but obviously failed & fled (and thus isn't counted as a 'real' Visigoth king) as Edgar Aetheling would in the short interval between the Battle of Hastings and Bill the Bastard's takeover of London.

The Visigoths had also become autistically fixated on Toledo as the epicenter of their royal ceremonies in the centuries prior, it was critical as the place for a new legitimate Visigoth king to be elected/anointed/crowned in that order, so its fall and the purge of the remaining Gothic nobility who were most inclined to stand up to the Arabs was the death knell for their political structure (outside the far northern remnants, isolated from or already in rebellion against Toledo well before Tariq came knocking - Pelayo in Asturias, and Achila/Ardo in Septimania). While I'm not going to say the Visigoths' chances of winning were fantastic after Guadalete, they still had a chance until the kikes of 711-12 fucked them over as hard as the Bolsheviks would fuck over the Cossacks 1200 years later, and it's at the very least quite plausible that the Christians might've kept half of Spain or so instead of 10% of it by the end if Oppa had held Tariq off at Toledo (the extremely rapid Muslim conquests of central & almost all of northern Iberia came after Toledo's fall).

My idea for jobs for young people:

Mandatory Boomer retirement. Starting at age 65, if you continue to work, your earnings above a specific threshold are taxed higher and higher until you're getting barely any take-home pay. Too many 70 year olds still collecting big league paychecks from executive jobs, which makes it so the mid-levels can't move up into them, which means the low-levels can't move up into those, which means you don't need to hire new entry-level people.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who made history as the nation’s first female speaker of the House and twice served in that top job, will not seek re-election to Congress in 2026.

The powerful California Democrat, now 85, led her party in the House for two decades — from 2002 to 2022. Her decision will spark a fierce contest for her liberal, deep-blue San Francisco seat at a moment when Democrats across the country are embracing a new generation of leaders.

Finally.
