We've already seen what's happened after 20 years of Republicans pushing for more radical people. We've got MAGA, intense social division, 41 million people and 18 million kids starving, and a recession waiting in the wings.
>the next republican candidate who wins
The current sitting US President is a convicted felon and a child rapist who tried to have his fans murder his first choice for Vice President. After almost 12 years of Donald Trump, you don't get to lecture anybody about moderation or temperance.
That "Breaking Point" was January 6th where the sitting president tried to overturn the results of an election he lost and violently prevent the transition of power. People decided that was all fine and dandy and probably a fed op that actually wasn't a fed op and the meanie biden administration locked up a bunch of peaceful patriots for no reason and re-elected him.
The shit Jay Jones said in private doesn't even remotely compare to the shit Donald Trump says on camera, social media, etc. Maybe 10 years ago pre-escalator announcement this would've been a career ending scandal, but Republicans decided that talking like this was okay across three elections, so that's the standard for political discourse now.
