Add to this that conservative parents are getting wise to the Left's agenda. Homeschooling is huge in these circles, and there are private religious schools as an alternative option as well. If you care enough, you can (and should) keep your kids out of public school.

From what I see the Digital ID scare in the US is just people sperging out that they're turning all the Patriot Act stuff onto the Illegal Aliens and foreigners instead of spying on Americans (everyday conservatives mainly).
You can tell the left's realized this is a weak spot becuase how absolutely batshit crazy desperate that judge is to prevent Trump from RIFing their pet swamp creatures. The right was NEVER supposed to push back, they were supposed to capitulate to the uniparty's demands and let the moneyprinter and infinitegibs systems continue until the next shutdown threat. If the uniparty loses massive numbers of their unelected pencil punishers every time they try this -- if they have consequences and have to compromise -- they'll lose their minds. Consequences are for other people, compromise means you give up what you want so the uniparty gets everything they want. Nothing else.
The uni-party is stuck in a positive feedback loop here. They have the hubris where they think are God, so they can't comprise and double down. We're seeing another collapse of a ruling party from this. So, they are going turn a fail into a fiasco by doubling down.
