There's this really funny thing with neoliberals. Since denaliasm is their bread and butter, they don't look at the past as a concrete series of events that define today. Instead, they look at the past as a semi-liquid catalogue of ideas that can be explained by the present. They invert history and its applications. Definitions are steady and always the same, explanations differ depending to whom you explain. There's no real set history to neoliberals, there's just a very general idea of what history could be that they use to further their own aims in the present. That's why they're keen to change it every so often to further whatever message they're promoting at the time.

For example, the neoliberals wanted to create a permanent underclass of psychological Others dependent on the state that could be used as political pawns against the majority, so they blurred all Indigenous groups together as one, they erased their histories and their role in the foundation of the state, and they were cast as the eternal Victim. So now, every step of the government has to ensure that they can never leave that Victim status - no real improvements can ever be made. Perhaps a façade of improvement, but beneath the façade there is only degradation. That's why the Residential School situation has become such a focal point - it's just another way that the government can paint Indigenous people as eternal victims so that they can be used as pawns in whatever gay ploy they're playing at the moment.

Fun fact, Chinese citizens are forced to comply with the government if they tell them to, even if you live outside of the country. They can't do this if you're a Canadian citizen, but I've personally met "intellectual" chinks that support the CCP even if they were born in Canada, usually people from richer families.

Tbh the USA could definitely integrate Canada eventually, but I don't think it would that easy either. Even ignoring the waves of third worlders, self-hating whites are super fanatical and would at least try to infiltrate institutions. The best comparison I can think of is Japan during and after WW2. The average Japanese person genuinely believed in what their government was doing, and despite technically being a democracy even into WW2 they were largely apathetic to democracy (I think turnout sometimes were as low as 10%) and were more than fine with give it up for the government to "function better." You see this sentiment with Canadians who want a one party state so they can "operate better" and be more like big brother China.

Also due to the sheer number of Canadian ultranationalists, it would be impossible to get rid of the "Canadian mentality" even if the gov actively pursued it. Similarly, Japan still denies their war crimes in WW2 despite being on the losers side of the war. This was again because of HOW many people genuinely believed what the government is pushing out. There definitely would be Canadians who would hold on to the belief they're superior or that they haven't lost and are still bidding their time. Many former Japanese war criminals escaped persecution and later joined the Liberal Democratic Party, the establishment party of Japan (despite the name, the LDP is a right wing party)

Also what's with countries in the Americas and corruption, the only ones I can think of that are at least heading towards the right path are Argentina, El Salvador, and maybe the USA.

Canada's immigration rate has always been too high. Professors used to tell us it's less than 1% of the population, but we were bringing in an average of 300,000+ people and we're supposed to pretend this is completely normal. That's the size of a city, absolutely bonkers. Now it's just ridiculous.

And there's clearly a difference between European migrants who overwhelmingly assimilate, versus the others who most likely don't. If Brampton was absorbing mass migrants from Europe the only noticeable difference is that we'd just see potentially more Orthodox churches popping up. Brampton absorbing the state of Punjab has drastically altered it into resembling anything but a Western society.

Maybe the Blue Jays (Vlad Guerraro Jr) would have been able to finally get us a trade deal, since to my knowledge he hasn't insulted Trump multiple times in media appearances like Trudeau and the rest of their cabinet ministers have.

Well said. A ver batim example of this, that I have been seeing an uptick of lately is this "my grandpa was antifa" schtick. I'm sure everyone has likely seen this before, but if anyone happens to not be familiar with this meme, essentially leftists post pictures of their war time relatives in uniform and claim that they were "antifa", obviously based on the Allies participation in the war, in an effort to resist back at Trump cracking down on modern day antifa and fellow chuds saying they are the 'real fascists'.

It's absolutely astounding that the side that claims they are the side of rationality, intelligence and education can swallow their own drooling out of the mouth, asinine propaganda. A brief look into the origins of antifa shows it was the paramilitary wing of the German communist party. Superimposing modern day leftist sensibilities onto the war generation like grandpa would have been totally down with communism, anti-racism, sodomy and transgenderism, and would punch the chuds over it and then use it to justify what modern day antifa does. Anyone who's ever actually talked to their grandparents, or veterans or anyone from that generation knows how absurd this shit is.

No, 300k was Trudeau's proposed reduced number last year for this past year. The government gave 500k foreign non-European/European-adjacent people permanent residence, which excludes all types of visas that were issued by the government.
