I’m a complete retard, but mobile deposit using your camera to take a picture of the check is a thing. I am struggling to see how that is different than what you said.
the difference is needing someone to take a picture of 600+ checks every month versus having some fucking computer program do it in a tenth of a fucking second mate.

i thought if it was sent through bill pay/a bank, you just got the money instantly in your bank account? i would hate having to wait so long, i imagine that is stressful.
i saw this earlier in the bill pay section of my acount, but im not sure if it means it went through or not. im assuming it did, but not entirely sure.
some banks preemptively take the money out and notate on the check that it's prepaid and your bank promises it will be paid. not all banks do this.

It will be interesting to see if any of the banks offer to add Null as an electronic payee in their system when they see the quantity of checks they're sending. I've heard rumors that they may preemptively offer it to companies who they send a number of bill payments to.

He’s trying to get a program that reads the deposits and does the work for him. So he doesn’t even have to scan them (because the bank will scan them when deposited). Null is lazy but knows how to write programs that will do his nigger work for him. This is basically his rebellion against DEI.

Soon he will use AI for Jannys and become a despot overlord surrounded by programs.

That's only possible if the payee is set up for electronic transfers via bill pay. Otherwise, the bank or credit union will cut and snail-mail a physical check.

In the case of my credit union (to the best of my recollection when this was explained to me during a rent payment cock-up years ago), a physical check sent via bill pay will be marked as "paid" upon the payee cashing the check or some predetermined time lapse, whichever comes first.

I may be a complete retard (and of course I don't know what bank you use) but is there a realistic way to just take the checks into a physical location? Obviously if there's no nearby location then that's not realistic and it could take a good amount of time out of the middle man's day once a month. Not sure if there are other limitations to this whole process, especially given the number of checks in question.

There was no obvious way to get any check reader to output a clear image which could be OCR'd and when I tried to discuss the matter with banks and check reader companies they were in complete disbelief I was even trying this. I'll try again if I have to but I have a solution that just needs a white man to explain something.

However in discussing this with OGB they were interested so they might get check readers that can do what I need them to do in the future. They said they liked the idea as a way around credit card processors.
In the meantime, could you scan all the checks through the check reader, thus depositing them, and then take that batch to a separate scanner, scan them all to pdf, (I'm pretty sure they have feed-style scanners for receipts and shit like that you could feed them into) OCR them, and write a script that could batch process the billpay IDs from the pdfs, and output them to a csv file along with the payment date and amount? Or is this simply more of a workload then you want to put on your check scanning person?

That's the solution I would build in this situation.

My bank app is showing that the check cleared. Where's my banner? WHERE'S MY BANNER? I'M PANICKING!

Just kidding. A little anyway. Now I'm worried I somehow fucked up the very simple instructions lmao
