Deinstitutionalization was seen as a more cost effective and humane solution in the 1960s with the rollout of modern psychiatric medicine. The crazy violent ones are still theoretically supposed to be locked up in the jail system but unless the charges are federal its up to the state prosecutors and DA's discretion.

An aside because I was listening to more classic Andy. I noticed he pronounces narcissist as nark-issist. Do you think that's him being actually retarded or is it a ploy because it's a big word and his mentally six autism brain doesn't (shouldn't, to be believable) understand soft Cs in some cases.
Another thing is that like other lolcows have, such as Patrick's stalker childing, Andy has poisoned my vocabulary and I want to call abuse 'buze now, and randomly when talking with friends who are also aware of him I may break into one of his isms like wailing "you call me a fake you say I fake, you buze me!" This site is slowly eroding my capacity to be a normal human being.

All part of his schizo-ness as far as I know. Any autistic trait he can replicate is "proof he has autism". He will never be turned non tarded because every aspect of his life seems like proof of his delusions
