If all these various sources a floating around the internet, who are quietly leaking more information every now and then, then I surely as hell hope they contacted CPS and gave them a statement about the condition the children lived in and what they have been exposed to. If they are "leaking" info for internet brownie points, but did not actually do their utmost to help get the kids out of those terrible conditions, then they are even worse humans than the drug addicted retard Rekietas.

I've always loathed what the CPS system has become, because at its core it has become accountants weighing the financial costs of a child. Throwing children right back into the environment that trigged the call for support in the first place is almost always their preferred playbook, and I'll use this highly scrutinized case for my point:
An entire community basically banded together and said what the absolute fuck is going on in that house
CPS and police come and find what they find
More digging into the Rekieta's activities and past find even more unstable and unsafe behavior and proof that they are unfit to parent on top of the whole living in a drug den/garbage dump with open polycules and April and Nick having the kids sit down for a heart to heart about why this kind of relationship is great and why talking about sex and drugs is good for kids as young as 6
The result is a slap on the wrist, a crash course in 'How not to produce fucked up kids' which he clearly failed with a 0/100
GOOD ENOUGH, toss the kids back into what I can only imagine is an unending nightmare Hellscape of a home
Meanwhile, Nick, as Nick does, is having a years long VERY public downward spiral, clearly on drugs even while on probation, talking and laughing about how he abuses his children, having a gay lovers spat, associating with people who publicly sexualize underaged children

I don't buy the behavioral issues at all, at least not organic ones. And if there were any real issues, well, she was I guess Nick's fave and therefore likely got the greatest amount of time with him - or got more attention from him. 1. Extra time with Nick is enough to make a Buddhist monk act out. And 2. 1000% Nick trained her on what gets attention, what wins favor in the household; actively or more likely passively taught her how to behave to be given a crumb. If she's whiny or needy or twitchy or whatever, whose behavior is she emulating? There is one answer.

So tl; dr: Nick picked one and trained her up to act just like him, and even he finds that behavior excessively annoying (in someone else) - and, Nick being Nick, he tackily spills his kid's business (and exaggerates it) because he's annoyed by it and he doesn't respect her any more than he does anyone else.

Also: again skeptical that she had any real behavioral issues, but if so, gosh, wonder what might have had her so amped up. That's a tough one.

The debate over whether he (or any other adult) dosed his child, or whether she got into his stash is one thing. Both would constitute intentional consumption. Both might explain the significant levels she tested at. Both would be a massive parental fail on the part of both Nick and Kayla (which is why he pushes the bullshit "cop patting her head" cope so much). We could probably have that debate endlessly.

However, what's immensely unwelcome, more than a year later, is any suggestion this was an accidental environmental exposure.

Anybody that is suggesting that more than a year later is either ignorant of the science, is a Balldoguard, or both. I thought we were beyond that.

We may not ever know exactly how that amount of cocaine got in her system (thank you Minnesota, for being utterly fucking useless) but, thanks to science, there's definitely vectors that can be crossed off the list.

This, right here, is something I wish I could make these doubters understand without having to pull out all the material going over this stuff from my old job and write a FAQ just for this thread about why that is (and in all honesty I wouldn’t even know where to look at this point, I haven’t worked there in years). The fact that Crackets originally tried to say this was from cocaine getting on the hair sample, and people here were actually willing to entertain something that divorced from reality made my eyes roll so far back in my head that I could see my spine… just thinking about that again makes me want to effortpost on the topic:

To anyone curious, let me help put this into perspective: these SAHMSA-accredited labs don’t release these results unless they are 99.99999999% sure they are correct. Failing to do so would mean these labs are at risk of losing their accreditation, which last I checked would cost them somewhere in the hundreds-of-million dollar range to reacquire, which is obviously not worth the risk to them. This also means that the scientist who performed the test (whose name will be on the result) could lose their job, which is obviously not worth the risk to them on a personal level either. Also, they set the cut-off levels to be consistent with an amount above environmental exposure, and from what I’ve read they set this very generously to err on the side of caution (as in, theoretically, someone who actually used cocaine once could still pass a test because they tested low enough to not reach the cut-off). There are many factors they take into account when doing this, because there are so many incentives for them not to fuck it up.

So now you might be asking: well what if they can’t verify a result with that level of accuracy? In the event that they feel like there’s no way that they can stand behind a result with that level of certainty, they’ll usually send out the result as “invalid,” because they can’t just not send a result for a drug test that someone’s already paid for. There’s also “adulterated” and a few other situational “cancelled” results, but “invalid” with some comments explaining why it do be like that Mr. Stancil is the most common for this sort of situation. If you’ve been following this thread, you already know this was not the case for this particular test: the result was “positive,” not “invalid.”

So basically, the TL;DR is this: the fact that it came back as positive is enough proof that the result is credible enough that it can, and WILL, hold up in a court of law. If this explanation still isn’t enough to get that through to you then I don’t know what else to tell you, you might actually just be retarded.

Let me say this about Kurt: He's not stupid. He may be socially awkward, but he's not dumb. His legal acumen is also far greater than Rekieta's. That has been my opinion of him since the tail-end of Weebwars, when he went over the appeal briefs in Vic's case.

If Nick wants to take this benign one-hour cooking stream, painfully twist it into four or five hours of "content," make $50 in Pedotips, and lose another thousand subs, then I say: God bless Kurt for making that possible... again.
