This is an actually insane thing to claim and like a rich person's idea of what poverty is. Also, in the clip he says he was broke in the past and someone asks "isn't your father a billionaire" and Hasan answers that he is fortunate enough to financially take care of both of his parents and does his usual rant about how they weren't billionaires, ignoring that their past strongly suggests they were at least millionaires. He never responds to the actual claim that he grew up wealthy, instead focusing on the most extreme one that they were billionaire-tier rich, which he can easily dismiss.
He also previously claimed they lost a bunch of money by gambling on futures on stock markets (typical working poor behaviour) and aren't as well off as they used to, but both still work in academia.

I think it's quite possible that Hasan's ten million whatever valuation is higher than his parents now, but his implication that "they are poor and have always been poor" is him being manipulative.
