For Toronto it's more or less the teams only failling and fucking up at the end or in critical moments I grew up in Toronto it's literally Laffs syndrome for the city it just hurts more because it's "Canada team" because that's the branding we sell for our NBA and MLB franchises since they have nothing else going for them

To play devil's advocate I'd still rather live in Cali than like 90% of Canada. At worst I would just leave in a few years like the rest of the Calis.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised given how close the game is, if there are anti-American riots because of this. An example of this is when Chinese people rioted after Japan won the Asia Cups finals in 2004. Another similar event in history is when the Central America of Honduras went to war with El Salvador after losing a football game to the Salvadorians. There were already tensions between the two, but the loss caused them to straight up go to war for a few days. Even if there are riots it probably wouldn't be as large as those other two events, autistic liberal nationalism is trademark of modern Canada after all, and maybe the riots would be funded by LPC themselves lmao. Or I could just be overthinking it and Canadians would be too pussy to talk shit outside of Reddit.

That's baseball. Same goes for hockey. Losing it all sucks, especially when you had multiple chances to close it out in 2 games. However, I still don't understand what it is with the city of Toronto and Game 7s. I've never in my life experienced a Toronto Game 7 until now, I know how it feels now.

Tbf its been 35 years since the Jays last won a world series, so I get it, it kinda sucks that we lost. Either way its just the fucking sportsball and its nothing to loose sleep over.

I don't follow baseball so I haven't been following the world series at all, I was in Vancouver back in 2011 for the riots after the Last decent Canucks roster lost in that series game 7. Has their been any nuttery of that sort of is more of a general depression setting in (the kind that will evolve into a more deep seated victim mentality over the next week.)

This apology is not the end of the CAF’s work. It is part of a sustained institutional effort to dismantle systemic barriers, address biases at every level, and to create a healthy, respectful, and inclusive workplace for all CAF members.
This apology was an important, necessary, and solemn moment and could evoke strong emotional responses and/or cause trauma to resurface. Should current and former CAF members and their families require support, they can access a range of support services.

I don't think I've ever tuned into a single Jays game or really anything sports related in my life so seeing all of this meltdown and discussion as a complete outsider has been fascinating to observe. It's become such a hissy fit that even as a person who has successfully stayed out of the loop for years I have some basic information. Wish this much attention was brought to other certain matters.
