Not a divider but a small "hallway". That apartment complex only puts out one set of photos and is a corporate owned place that would have repainted before her move in. If they are advertising grey remodeled units thats what would have happened before Chantal's move in. Apartment buildings, even in canada, of this type of ownership remodel apartments between tenants.

A lot of experience with properties. These thermostats come bundled with baseboard heaters and also gas fireplaces but the fireplaces seem to relabel them as Emerson.

Another interesting thing to note of this thermostat is its location. Particularly its height. In Canada (and lets be honest the world cus they copy US standards and it make sense) thermostats are mounted between 52-60 inches,(4 foot 4 to 5 foot) with most electricians/hvac guys popping them at 5 foot. Basically a little higher than lightswitches... basic human eyelevel.

And look at the light switches. Pretty low down. Look at the camera. Its basically at her seated eye level.
And this exposed fucking cable? running down the wall is weird dood.

Now. That all said. The ADA (used in Canada) says that handicapped accessible spaces should have thermostats at a maximum of 48 inches. 4 feet. and 42 inches is recommended for wheelchair accessibility.

The canadian national building code dictates it further and states that any operable item should be at a maximum of 48 inches. It also puts recmmendations of 36 and 42 inches for wheelchair users.

Is she in a handicap/accessibility apartment or renovated basement? But thats just a theory... a lol cow theory.

I "inherited" a feral kitten a few weeks ago. It is the first time I have had a kitten in over 20 years since my cats lately have all been seniors.
