i posted about it in the conspiracy thread, it's great. There's a certain account on X that goes into it more with his own theories, guy believes that raw milk turns white people into super saiyans

The Progressives are pushing the Democrats forward right now and would eat Bill Kristol alive if they could. I suppose more "moderate" Democrats would welcome Bush-era Republicans joining their ranks, but it's a pointless move given the current supremacy of the Progressives who hate people like this. Progressives were disgusted when Dick Cheney supported Kamala. It's a double-edged sword because the Progressive voters are really active, which is good for the party, but are also demonstrably unstable, prone to violence, and push policies that turn off both moderates (who hold their noses) and independents (who vote Republican).

The Republican Party, right now, is Trump's party. Had the powers that be let the guy win in 2020, he would already be out and MAGA as a movement would have likely died with his presidency. Pence would not have carried it forward and neither would Republican leadership at the time. However, Trump and MAGA groups were very busy between 2020 and 2024 pushing pro-Trump leaders who are now harder to push away. The biggest mistake was persecuting Trump and his allies, which energized the MAGA base even more, convinced a lot of people that Trump really was getting shafted by nefarious actors, and also convinced a ton of shitty people to take the mask off and openly call for extrajudicial persecution of everything Trump-related. Being a Republican and critiquing MAGA won't get you anywhere politically.

From a strategic point of view, I just don't get it. Trump can still drop the ball and ruin his legacy - 3 years is a lot of time - but these people are living on a prayer.

@Catch The Rainbow Catch please refer this man to the conspiracy thread about this. It's seriously a good one. The basic idea is based on a theory (with very little to no archeological evidence, although it's almost impossible to get good archeological data from stuff that old) that Neanderthals hunted Homo Sapiens, which supercharged the modern human brain. It's also based on a false claim that Ashkenazi Jews have tons of Neanderthal DNA (East Asians actually have more on average, followed by your average European).

The idea is Ashkenazi Jews are basically a skin walking race of neo-Neanderthals and it ties in with very old conspiracy theories about Jews being cannibals and vampires. It's very detailed and an entertaining read at the very least.
