Not making an exception for vance's wife, I'm just not sure what standard you are you are trying to uphold here. I have a couple friends with indian wives, and i'd hold them to that standard as well, they don't consider themselves indian american, their kids don't either. He always gets more attention during election season given his polling analysis, and the usual way of maintaining said attention outside of it is through hysterics and dooming, whether intentional or not. He has enough experience and inside knowledge to know how the political game is played, but openly discussing that doesn't get you far in media these days when everyone is after immediate results and gratification.

She's very bad at this. Her first pivot was pointing towards stuff Trump was saying like bringing prices down. I can generously interpret that as, "It wasn't Biden's frailty that made the task impossible." That's a fair enough answer to me. But then when pressed she falls back on, paraphrased, "He wasn't too frail to BE president, he was only too frail to RUN for President." It's really hard for someone not deep in the tank for Democrats already to not see some flaws in that reasoning.
The Spanish crown at one point had a system of checks and balances. Part of that was that appointed government positions had to be someone from Spain. What a lot of people don’t realize is that the Spanish crown from day 1 was trying to tard wrangle the conquistadores and their descendants. Cortez killed a representative of the crown and had to be brought to heel. In Peru many of the conquistadores married into rival Inca families and continued their centuries long dispute and also didn’t want to listen to the crown.
