That was my favorite part of the entire interview. Nick wanting a woman who would kiss his ass constantly, and Tucker explaining, dear god man, no, just no, you want a woman that push you to be a better man. Those are the best types of women.
I found it oddly wholesome, that tucker was trying to imbibe some wisdom, and it really seemed to be this moment that was lost on Nick, but that tucker was truly trying to help the little sperg.
Tucker came across very likeable there. Not to mention relatable. Anyone who's in a marriage where their spouse pushes them to be better instantly knew what he was talking about,
and the value of having it.
I would never give up my marriage for anything, because it does exactly what he said it does - pushes me to be better, to grow as a person, to be more flexible, more considerate. I'm grateful for it, and I work damn hard to keep being deserving of it.
Fuentes though?
Whoosh, went right over his head. A woman? Telling him he isn't God's gift to the world? Why would he want that? It would just mean dealing with an uppity woman spouting her constant opinions (this sounds like a a strawman of his opinion, but listen to it yourself - he says pretty close to this in his complaints about why women aren't good enough to marry).
It's not only naive and arrogant, it's the mark of someone too immature to maintain a real relationship. Fuentes continues to give off the air of someone too busy huffing his own farts to take genuine part in a union of marriage, considering any woman subordinate to him, a wife someone who should yes-man her entire life through their relationship instead of a true partnership of two different complementary parts working together.
If he doesn't change this he's going to end up dying alone, and that's not something I would wish on anyone.
Side note. His description of the person who showed up at his house with a gun was very strange to me. He presented it as an assassination attempt when it sounded like some crazy involved in a bad drug deal trying to find a house to charge into to hide out, not targeting Fuentes specifically at all. Anyone else know what happened here and if there's reason to believe it was anything else?
