In my experience the ones that play music are 100% worth the money. They are "fuzzy logic" rice cookers. I've only used the Zojirushi brand though. They get the rice perfect every time, are extremely easy to clean, are aesthetic, have basic space saving features like a retracting chord, and don't need precise measurements to get it right. I spent $150 bucks on one 5 years ago and it still works perfectly. I use it to preplan breakfast every morning since I can just plop rice and water in it and program it to have it ready the next morning, add some wasabi furikake on top and its a good simple breakfast.

15 minutes is too long? The beauty if a pressure cooker is how uniform it makes the rice. 1 cup jasmine, rinsed. 1 cup water. 4 or 5 minutes, 5-10 minutes after the first timer runs out you let out the pressure and open it. If you want it stickier you do it earlier.
