The majority of China lives in rural poverty, I'm talking almost destitute. They are so cheap and so poor this is where concepts like gutter oil come from. Their only social economy comes from being a government worker or doing something else in a big city. If you haven't seen them, The two guys who do the China show are excellent examples and a decent resource for the West to peak into the culture of China.
