Detransition is not doing anything for her eyes. Whatever she is on, she is on it all the time or at least any time she takes a selfie.

I don’t “identify” as a woman. I am one legally. This is a degrading way to talk about people like me. I went through a process for a medical condition and I expect you to talk to me with the respect accordingly. I did not ask to be born like this.

We live in Massachusetts. It protects my access to the public commons. That is a reality you don’t seem to be able to engage with. I look like a woman. I sound like a woman, I am legally a woman, and I have a vagina. it was a very painful process, both physically and emotionally.

And if you’ve hung out with TERF/ to the point you can’t respect that I don’t care. All it means is you don’t get access to people like me. I’ve been around enough Jews to know they don’t hang out with antisemites either.

Originally, I tried engaging you with in good faith, but it’s obvious you want to roll back my dignity in public life for a political project that is ultimately about limiting the participation in America people like me. Strong evidence of that is this retweet.

This is the equivalent of a white lawyer wanting to call a Black defendant the N word in court. Respect for people participating is obviously appropriate. You just don’t value my dignity enough to see it.

I know you think because you have a PhD it’s not possible for you to be driven by bigotry. But I’ve heard this exact same argument from Southerners that wanted to degrade Jews, gays, women. Nothing is new.

In your personal life, you can be a bigot if you wish. Not when you participate in American institutions.

When I look at the political project you participate in, you’re only there with anti-trans extremists. I don’t particularly llike Shaun, but he had a blistering takedown of the intellectual dishonesty of that book you participated in. You should be embarrassed about who you work with. It shows a lack of character and integrity.

You’re hardly the first person to get swept up in a hate movement and be blind to it. American history is full of people like you.

John is not "legally a woman" in any state of the Union.

Man and woman are not legal categories. They are biological ones.

Massachusetts law merely allows John to amend certain documents with a legal fiction. These amendments do not convey any rights and do not make him a woman, legally or otherwise.

grokipedia generated an entry on brianna wu. it mentions criticisms of him not really being a programmer & exaggerating gamer gate threat claims. He challenged one, putting up a pic of him near a weapon.

Dude put up a picture of him in Afghanistan with a high fucking rank. Someone else put up a picture of them in Iraq. Some other dude just posted his fucking fruit salad.

"Legally I am a" as some ultimate justification sounds pretty stupid as some justifier coming from someone whose supposed 'career' is altering laws (esp when he's trying to use it on someone who wasn't even speaking in a legal context anyway)
I mean kind of sets up a philosophy where laws wouldn't change and you couldn't say a law was wrong or stupid b/c "legally"makes them valid - which sort of invalidate the entire lawmaking process.

My personal favorite was when some female passenger jet pilot corrected John about some utterly idiotic shit he said, and he accused her of mansplaining only to be put back in his (very male) place.
