This sperging about the White House ballroom is so low energy and petty. It barely registers, it doesn't even fit with the usual TDS shit. You would think they would rather sperg out about how enforcing laws is fascism or the fact illegals are getting deported but no, White House renovation.

Really shows how shallow it all is.

Kansas State Representative Susan Ruiz hadn’t previously been on my bingo card for most delusional and foolish Trump hater, but she just zoomed to the top with her recent tweet about why Trump is helping to shore up Argentina’s beef industry. Not only did she reveal her insane hatred for Trump, but she also showed that she has no understanding of (or interest in) how President Javier Milei is trying to take the last stop to fix Argentina’s perpetually broken economy, and how Trump is trying to help both Argentina and American consumers.

As American Thinker readers know, since the day he was elected, Milei has been working to create a roaring Argentinian economy. His weapon of choice has been cutting government spending and stopping out-of-control money printing. His gods are free trade, deregulation, and competition. So far, it’s worked.

However, Milei now wants to take the next big step: He wants to replace the Argentine peso with the U.S. dollar to end Argentina’s destructive independent monetary policy. The Central Bank never stops printing those pesos, driving chronic inflation. It’s as if the central bankers have no memory of the late 1980s and early 1990s hyperinflation, which peaked at 20,262.80% in March 1990.

But Trump is doing it, so that means it's fascism by default, no matter what it is.

All of the versions are sizable. Which again is the point but its like a 5 car garage on a ranch home.

Everything except the executive residence needs a near complete overhall.

Its hard to get reliable information through the screeching on both sides, but the original plan was to reincorporate the existing building or build a "shell" around it (which honestly I think would have been kinda dope, I think the "old building inside a bigger one" looks really cool.) but I guess when they were gutting it the state of the building was worse than expected and was going to take years and millions to try to save. I was seeing somewhere the FDR bunker underneath was in extremely bad, but didn't see any other confirmation.

Honestly the East Wing losses are more about the highquality materials & techniques used in the interior, and the loss of garden space around it as shit is expanded.

The west wing also has the issue where, as you said, it was First Lady's staff offices and a couple minor departments; the executive cartography & surveying IIRC. Basically stuff you can relocate near by while construction happens. The west wing includes a bunch of shit like meeting rooms and cabinet offices that you can't just move 3 blocks away, so its less about teardown/refurb/extend and more about where do you put that shit while its going on - and the new East Wing might just solve that problem.

The problem is progressives basically captured the I effing love science crowd back in the 2000s and to be pro science meant you were progressive and not backwards like those Christians who didn't believe in evolution.

Sperging about events I'll never attend nor being invited to, but will be paying for:
On a personal level, I LIKE the fact the WH and its spaces are small and personal. Its going to be the President and only people who matter, and it feels more like normal (if wealthy) fancy living room than some opulent and overly indulgent throne room.

But that completely ignores the reality of modern geopolitics where King Metubutu now does leave his 40-wives and to travel abroad for functions, so its not just a handful of only the most powerful world leaders. Attendance is up, and right now the event space for large gatherings is setting up tents on the lawn.

When there is an event, the east room has to be constantly reconfigured. It is hard on staff and needing to constantly reconfigure the space is also hard on the room and the materials/worksmanship that went into them.

All I'm going to say is I ike the idea, I just wish it was being built somewhere else. Like put it in the middle of the park to the south or something.
 
Someone mentioned this on the reddit thread, but it's very interesting how little the TDS people are talking about the gibs money shortage that is coming and instead are focusing on the East Wing.

Really not beating the champagne liberal allegations. Or maybe they know they can't actually mention because the GOP can just fire back "drop healthcare for illegals and the welfare is back on" and they can't handle having to explain to their pet niggers this.

I guess they use this as a diversion in the way of saying "everything is fine Madame la Marquise" to not panic yet about the gibs money shortage because TDS people might receive a POS right on their faces.
