Really, guys. "But Obama went through REQUIRED POLITICAL COMMITTEES and the mandatory 100 meetings before renovating a building! So HA!"
>"If you can't see the difference between that and whatever is happening right now, you're beyond help."

>Mfw the only difference is Barry had to go through 70 bureaucratic meetings and red tape because he was using taxpayer money to do it and Trump isn't because it's all privately financed by himself

You know that seems like a really low bar for being "beyond help".

Imagine hating this orange mf so much you unironically start having meltdowns because he didn't take enough pointless corporate zoomcalls before renovating a room in the house he himself lives in.

Where was this reverence for the sanctity of the White House when Hillary literally tried to steal all of the furniture when they left?

A second Trump has just hit the white house...

They can't decide what to make of the ballroom.

Either they want it to be the venue for their future Nuremberg trials where Trump and his entire administration are tried and publicly hanged for... something, or an underage girl brothel. These people are bizarre.

Now he's building the Führerbunker so he can hide underground and never have to move out. The new narrative is "Nobody would build a ballroom in a house they plan to leave" so they're all losing their minds thinking he'll have to be removed by force.

The comments are almost all "can we skip to the part where he kills himself in the bunker?"

They're freaking out over an AI image they themselves made, which shows the ballroom ridiculously oversized, gold colored, and attached directly to the white house. They also can't tell east from west.

Bob Newhart said it best.

Washed-up comedian tries to stay relevant by using AI to show himself assaulting government officials, as Simpsons characters for some reason:

It's fitting he uses The Simpsons, given they're both washed up and sad.

I know they freak out about anything he does or doesn't do, but a ballroom was not on my TDS bingo card.

Trump could roll out an army of Ice Cream Trucks giving out free low cal nutritious sweets and these people will think he's trying to give everyone super AIDS.

I'm going to level, I sort of hate the new ballroom but the "modernized" East wing looked really unremarkable from the outside. I

A larger venue for state events has been desperately needed for a long time, as well as a real modernization not just a refit of the existing structure. but I really hate how it unbalances the Whitehouse by being nearly as big as the executive residence.
interior looks dope, though.

It's not 100% certain what version will be built yet, Trump mentioned they had a couple options. First thing was tearing down the old East Wing though - which btw, was half useless. Mostly it was the First Ladies offices and several other useless rooms for tourists. That's before we get into the lack of a real event space.

The bigger problem is that the West Wing - more touchy a subject, probably needs an upgrade. I've not heard Trump mention this, but actually other people from both parties who have worked in the White House. Probably in that case it could be built onto.
