I've discovered that when I use my VPN to connect to countries with minimal advertising, I can completely avoid YouTube ads. For instance, connecting to Mongolia or Albania consistently removes the ads. On desktop, I find that Ghostery works exceptionally well. For example, when I set my VPN to the UK, Ghostery successfully skips all the ads on Channel 4 shows.

Watching YT in the Brave browser strips out all of the ads. I cannot fathom how anybody can watch it otherwise.

fun fact, i tried to go back and read the full post he made that you're referring to, especially the part that someone after you referred to about "fan mail"? cuz i obviously missed that part. although i probably skipped it on purpose as there are a few whose posts i just don't even bother reading and skim right past... but looking it up, at least from my end and at this current time..
