Yeah, neocons aren't conservative at all, socially or economically. They are Trotskyists who believe in creating a national myth in order to unify the people and using the power of the state to enforce their will on the globe, aka "spreading democracy". Think Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz.

I think the reasons he gives for the wheel's absence make sense. Those are also the same reasons why you see impressive churches in Ethiopia carved out of stone, or archeological evidence of things like books and libraries where as the most impressive architectural wonder sub-saharan west africa has ever produced is a glorified mud hut

Jews and Italians arrived in NYC far before fascism was a thing. Immigration law post 1924 until the 60s made it very hard for Italians and Jews to come in. Black people didn't start coming to NYC until decades after slavery.

Quick question, but say if the shutdown does last until December, is it that big of a deal? I'm flying to Tokyo in December and is it true the TSA have an excuse to act like dicks (well, more than usual) because "they are forced to work without pay"? I never had any problem with the TSA before but I wonder if airport performance will be worse than usual due to "muh shutdown". Haven't flown since May.

If you are leaving in December then they are going to be dicks regardless due to them being extra busy and working on the holidays. Arrive early and have your shit together.
