If Joe really wanted to branch out he should've just made a new channel focusing solely on tech reviews if that's the content he's interested in making instead of using his deranged pedophile brother to kickstart it. Not that he would find any success as a tech reviewer anyways, the guy has zero charisma. He's not funny and he lacks energy. I don't know who would go to him for tech reviews. I guess you can't blame him for having his soul sucked dry living with The Squatch for as many years as he has.
 
So, I’m laying in bed in a house with no power thanks to storms earlier on, watching and rewatching some certified bangers. Certified head bangers even. And it’s got me to thinking: you know what? I believe Andy.

I believe that he *believes* he’s autistic. Yes, it’s all an act, and yes, it’s all a game to him, and I simply can’t chalk it all up to “Andy fake!” Yes, Andy do fake, but his head is more twisted than a pretzel, so really, all bets and assumptions are off.

If you do something as involved as what Andy does on a daily basis, there’s no way around it - that takes effort. So yeah, I believe he believes he has autism.

Feel free to disagree with me, but when you’re so dedicated to this, you’ve gotta believe in it at least a little bit.

That would make the entire situation easier to grasp for the normal person but, no, he doesn't. Andy is under no actual delusion these things are real and he frequently will turn off baby mode when most convenient for himself. Pretty much every interaction he has with police is proof that it's just pretend for him.

It may be less he believes, but rather he's pretended for so damn long, that he eventually embodied the lie. If you tell yourself something enough times, you'll eventually trick yourself into believing it.

Andy wants attention and to be cared for by others. So he sees severely autistic people get that, and decides to emulate it after getting hit by a car. He got a taste of that underlying fetish when he was in the hospital and chases after that feeling like a drug addict. Pretend to be retarded; pretend to be autistic and everyone will take care of me.

I don't know, I've seen some pretty blasé tech reviewers out there on youtube who have decent subscriber counts.. though I do agree, Joe is incredibly dull and boring to listen to.

oh yeah that was pretty crazy, yes, the military generally has a cut-off point when a person shows they're in the dull average IQ ranges in the low 80s, especially after all that mess with McNamara's morons during Vietnam, but yes, absolutely, most people with IQs in the 80sare very much fully functional and fully independent; hell the majority of those in the borderline and mild ranges of disability (75 to 60s ranges) if taught, yeah they are mostly if not fully independent, so, no matter what Andrews IQ is, its not excuse, he's just a triflin' freeloading con-artist.

yeah i cannot feel much sympathy for tom or anyone who allows another member of the household to abuse and damage others; its one thing if an individual chooses that bullshit, but the fact tom didnt seem to care enough about the wellbeing of his wife and his other son Joe; to allow Andrew to cause so much stress and trauma to his other son and his wife, i have no sympathy, because tom had a choice; i know Andy is his son, but blood does not mean unconditionally obligated , not if that person is causing harm or is a danger to yourself and others in the household. Cutting off family is not easy, i have had to do it myself, but once its done, its a huge huge relief and it allows you finally be free and move forward and to, yes, even heal. sometimes you just have to rip off the band-aid.

oh im feeling like Joe is about as brain-dead as Andrew is in some ways Tom also, he is a complete passive cuck, they all enabled Andy, Joe is so broken, from all the abuse he just tolerates it and thinks this is normal and its acceptable because ''Andrew is his brother''. smh. no, i agree, i have no sympathy for people who dont stand up for themselves, and wont think of how that type mess is harming and effecting the other family members. you dont put up with or tolerate abuse especially when its effecting other members of the household.
Tom didnt think enough of his other son, or his wife's well-being, safety and sanity to put a stop to this terror that is Andrew Ditch.

I’ll go with your hypothesis, as it’s better than mine. I also like the idea of him becoming this way after his hospital visit. It solves a quiet thought I’ve had in my head that maybe this *is* a form of brain damage, but as far as medicine goes, it’s mostly hoofprints and zebras. Your idea sounds very plausible and probable.

It’s just the fact that the amount of time and effort he puts into the whole act completely baffles me. I cannot wrap my head around it. I wish I had work ethic like that, I’d have enough money to burn it in front of Andy.

I’ll never understand people like Andy or another personal favourite of mine, Lou Gagliardi. Both of these people put insane levels of effort into their grifting. Imagine how productive they’d be if they had a fucking job.

Funnily enough, both of these people also share the trait of having absolutely no shame. They’ll both willingly forgo their dignity if it means they get that they want in the end. This all blows my tiny mind, I don’t mind admitting that.
