Legit giving Venezuela freedom via buttfucking the entire government there would be the most just war America has had in 50 years.

Kill the fat pig in charge and raid that spics burrito desk drawer.

This is why the USA has a terrible reputation for warmongering.

Also, this recalls the last days of the Roman Empire where they just had too much to defend and it all fell apart.

The USA is currently funding Ukraine and Israel, with a threat of escalation in both. Yemen and Iran may need action.

Russia is a looming threat. The USA is legally bound to defend Taiwan from “invasion” from the country it never legally left - China.

Oh and you are in trillions upon trillions of debt.

And Trump thinks it’s a good idea to start another war in Venezuela by bombing civilian boats - alleging without providing any proof they’re “narco terrorists”.

Whether you agree with bombing other countries or not, this is absolute insanity.

The specific text they were asked to rewrite was the introduction Bleak House. It's a bit archaic and has a decent vocabulary selection. However, they were college students specializing in English literature studies. They DEFINITELY shouldn't be reading at an 8th grade level, so you're right about that last sentence there. It's absolutely astonishing. I wasn't the best student in college but I didn't end up at literacy level fucking two.
I was somebody who was reading adult Star Wars books in 3rd grade. I'm bothered by how people just can't read. I get not liking long descriptions of places and stuff but some people don't seem like they can even read Stan Lee comics.

There's a huge gulf between "Can understand, does not enjoy" and "Cannot understand". Unfortunately, a lot of people are on the wrong side of it. Its like they can't build any complex mental representation, so by the latter half of a block of prose, they've just completely lost the first half, and none of it makes sense to them as a result.

Teachers in the west have to waste so much time nowadays training for DEI that they spend next to no time focusing on stuff that actually matters. This is a western problem only. While America and Canada obsess over how many different races we can shove together, every other country in the world focuses on math, science, and getting ahead of everyone else. Thinking about how to cater to every race imaginable just isn't a thing outside white countries. Canada and America's children are dumb because they have to listen to DEI constantly and can have AI do most of the actual work for them.
I really doubt that's still the case with Europe importing massive numbers of Muslims and jeets and Africans that don't speak the language
The article is quite the read.

Some excerpts:
Fine said he did not look to target any particular member of Congress – “I don’t think anybody knows” how many dual citizens serve in Congress, he said – but wants to push back against antisemitic accusations that pro-Israel, especially Jewish, politicians possess dual loyalties
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Israel have a thing that anyone with properly traceable Jewish ancestry automatically gets Israeli citizenship when they apply? You don't need to be dual citizen if you have that guarantee.

That fucking metcaf case where a black stabs a white boy in the heart and the fucking glee of "haha fuck that white boy" or the shit with that white girl.

Where are the young white men gonna go?
mutually interlocking flields of fire nigga they're going to have to tercio up to stab first because nobody wants to be stabbed last.

The Israelis have the Law of Return which virtually grants every Jew in the world the right to settle in Israel should they meet certain criteria.

Some authors, especially back in the day, went way too hard on the prose and descriptions imo. I get describing the setting but sometimes they go into way too much detail on things that don't matter at all, either because they're so fixated on describing the environment that it feels like what happens there is less important, or because they focus on complete red herrings like they're never heard of Chekov's Gun before.

Lovecraft's Mountains of Madness really is a slog for the most part because of that

I personally think the US should whip out the old Cold War playbook and put the fear of God back into South America with a good ol' fashioned coup. The Venezuelan government is already hanging on by a thread, just fund a couple of militias and have them fuck up the capitol.
