They look at Canada and are filled with homicidal rage that the "elites" up there get to dupe their populations into selling their children into slavery or into killing themselves via MAID, while they haven't managed that here. It drives them up walls and across ceilings we aren't so easily led.

But the rest of your post, yeah you saw the real world and how it works and what that means for the shortcomings of libertarianism. Like I said I get the idea also but me and you both saw the reality of what goes on when their are no limits/guiderails.

The response Canadians on the internet have had to the US imposing retaliatory tariffs has definitely increased my hatred of them. I already found most Canadians to be overly smug but they've also proven to be incredibly two-faced and insufferably arrogant. I hope the IRL equivalent of the US troops "keeping the peace" during the annexation of Canada in the Fallout 1 intro plays out within my life time.
