when this pops off i won't even call it a war, more like swatting a fly that you've allowed to exist for far too long because you couldn't be fucked to get rid of it. while the stratofortress was clowning over their airspace they sent out their one (1) functioning F16 in a "show of force" lmao
i don't know why maduro is even bothering to posture it would take less than a day to oust him
When blowing up the country would improve conditions for its people then it isn't a war, it's humanitarian aid

The 160th SpecOp Aviation Regiment has been assigned to Trinidad and Tobago. Archive The 160th have been involved with every secret special forces operations since the 80s including flying SEAL Team Six in to kill bin Laden.

There's also a security alert for Trinidad and Tobago.

We have multiple aircraft, including two B-1Bs, flying around the edge of Venezuelan airspace and Trump about to make an address about narco-terrorists. Could we be seeing, dare I say it, Maduro being churroed?
No. Bombers aren't going to be running sorties with their fucking transponders on. Remember when they bombed Fudrow in June and had decoy B-2s flying the opposite direction of the actual strike aircraft?

So you’re saying they’re gonna loop around and get Caracas from the south?

I don’t think an invasion of venezuela is worth it. Too many dead americans in the name of a “regime change”. Our economy is already shitty, now imagine a 10 year war in the jungle on top of that.

160th SOAR gives rides to Army SOC as well as JSOC and Special Activities Division. An element of the 160th deployed to Caribbean with an element of the Army 7th Special Forces Group somewhere around 07-11. The only info I remember is the Obama State Dept bitching about the task force. The rest is probably classified.

USS Gerald Ford is moving into the Caribbean. The churro-ing is coming, Maduro. I hope you're ready for...

Operation 2Just2Cause

This isn't 2003 and Venezuela isn't Iraq. The population is 99% Catholic which isn't big on the whole suicidal jihadi bullshit, their culture is similar to ours, and the locals won't view an invasion as a holy war. The Venezuelan military will collapse within a few days of bombings and when Maduro gets churroed it'll totally collapse. Very few of them want to die for Maduro. Also unlike Iraq, there is an opposition government that we can install very quickly. They can at least follow orders from us since they're mostly incompetent.

This will be a 80s or 90s style military action: bomb some shit, send some soldiers in to kill/capture the leaders we don't like, and we're out. If you're a zoomer you probably can't comprehend the US military not spending decades in a foreign country.

All you need is a decapitation strike and the fucking chavistas will fall apart

Every war the US has been in for the last 20 years has been a forever war. What makes you think this will be different? One look at Venezuela's terrain and topography and its very obvious this wont just take a few months. Even if we topple Maduro's regime, we will spend years trying to fight off an insurgency in a country full of people that hate us. This will cost trillions of dollars and cause our economy to get even worse then it already is. You want an idea of what this could turn into? Just take a look at the Soviet-Afghan war.

Can somebody please explain what the benefit for Americans is supposed to be in going to war with Venezuela?

It won’t stop drugs, gangs in other countries will seize the opportunity and fill in any gaps.

It will decrease international goodwill even further. Potentially making more enemies in a time of serious political instability.

It will cost a fortune when the economy is in dire straights.

People will die. Including innocent civilians and American troops.

Yes cartels might suffer but locals NEVER thank the USA for bombing the shit out of them for their own good.

Again, this isn't 2003. Trump isn't Dubya and Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Wolfiwitz aren't whispering in his ear to increase the profits of Lockheed*Mart. This isn't a part of GWOT and we aren't on some holy crusade against camel fucking terrorists this time. Now post a map of Venezuela with population densities and you'll see most of the country away from the coast is jungle. To control a country you don't need your soldiers on every square foot of land, just the large population centers if there isn't a popular guerilla movement in the countryside. If some commie cocaine growers want to sit around in the jungle with their knock-off AK-103s and talk about bringing back the Chavista regime, let them. If this Chavista bullshit was so popular why did so many Venezuelans run away to every country between them and us? Afghanistan has a long history of fighting off foreigners and being an isolated muslim shithole. Venezuela isn't Afghanistan.

Iraq and Afghanistan have really broken zoomer's brains, making them think every time the US beats up a third world shithole we'll be there for decades.

So we should just sit by and let them smuggle tons of drugs and millions of refugees into the US? "But if we bomb them everyone will hate us!!!" Who gives a shit if China and Russia post angry tweets? Venezuela has no real allies and no one will care. Stop thinking like a fucking woman.

Because the US has a long history of going in, dealing with a spictator, and letting the opposition government take over.
There is "Bin Laden" to hunt, there is no need for "nation building" because there is no Iran equivalent to need to counter balance. The threat there is the indos, who will hide in the jungle shitting in bushes, but won't get massive infusions of cash and weapons from the Saudis or Qatar.

Short term: dead spics & communists. Once the Commies are gone from power we/the west can deport all the Venezuelan asslyum seekers back to their spichole (🌈 I know). Other drug operators will move in to fill the gap, but there will slack until then. Its also possible it will trigger a powerstuggle/cartel on cartel violence, and this means more dead spics.

Long term: Massive economic gain. With the commies out of power, the US can get back to the business of taking over Venezuela's oil infrastructure and kick out the Chinks and Slavs.
In general it removes a hostile (and retarded) foreign government from the US's backyard.

Anyway its all academic. There will be no war because you cannot Churro the Maduro.

Thanks for your answer.

None of this is justifiable. Venezuela was barely bothering the USA and isn’t a threat to them. Starting a war with another country because you want to benefit from its resources or don’t approve of the way it’s run is hostile and immoral.

This sort of behaviour is why, outside the West, the USA are seen as the bad guys.

Also wasting US military resources on unimportant targets is insane when you have huge threats looming.

You sound like a Turd Worlder jealous of America. Why should we care what you and your shithole of a country think of us?
