stubborn partisanship results in deadlock, but giving in and capitulating to the enemy is not a winning move either, even though "lose with dignity" type recucklicans like to insist otherwise.

I am by no means an expert but the truck in the foreground looks like a S-125 Pechora-2M. I have to say I admire the optimism of the Venezuelans going up against the undisputed SEAD/DEAD kings with hand-me-down Russian AA systems.

The group that ended up forming the West German intelligence agency was a collection of Abwher and former SS that were originally intended to lead a bunch of poorly disguised-as-labor-battalion veterans of all flavors (including even Albanian SS volunteers) to mop up the soviet union after nuking their ass. After that plan was dropped and the CIA became a thing and West Germany was formed the group moved from the US back to Germany to form the intelligence agency there. Then after the fall of the Berlin wall those assholes and the Stasi came together and now we have the 4th, gayest Reich.

The missiles are definitely Buks though. The chassis looks looks like a Geckos. Probably some sort of Banana Republic mash up

Fair points. I'm not saying Venezuela is in a good spot and I don't know what missile trucks those are, but I have heard some of the SAM trucks the Soviets built in the late 80's are still useful. I defer to the expertise of others on this subject.

by the time of reunification those old ww2 remnants were all long dead or retired, and their successors were people who were indoctrinated from birth with globohomo leftism like the rest of the population of west germany.
likewise, actual stasi officials and agents from the east were kept away from positions of power or influence post unification, but this did not extend to the many true believing commie party members and activists (this notably includes angela merkel) who were largely allowed to continue their political activity as they pleased.

They’re upgraded S-125s. It’s a 60s vintage SAM system that in the 90s and 2000s got a whole slew of upgrades to make them more effective (and mobile, the originals used fixed launcher emplacements).

The influence of these organizations across generations causing the rise of the 4th Reich is what I was going for. Those people are dead but the impression they left on the landscape remain.

If you actually oversee your contractors appropriately and hold their feet to the fire to a reasonable level, you can get stuff done extremely quickly. Some of these bridges and skyscrapers that take 5-6 years could be done in less than 1.
A lot of the endless construction bullshit is just because these contractors are allowed to continuously ask for more budget and extend their deadlines in perpetuity, basically giving them a small tap to the government's endless money pool. And because the local/state government officials who approve it get kick backs, they have no incentive to do anything about it.
