This makes complete sense to me now. A year or two ago I was applying like mad to every job in my field I could find, and ATI had a ton of postings in my area. I applied to all of them that matched my skills and never heard back on anything, even after reaching out - not even an automated response. This was before I knew about ghost jobs and the associated fraud. My previous job hunting experience was back in 2020 where I applied to maybe a dozen jobs, heard back on half, and got offers on two of them. I was very confused about why I wasn't even getting a generic HR "thanks but no thanks" back when I reached out, but I guess this explains it.
