I think it’s the fact he shared his ending with the guys who did the show and people hated it is delaying things, rightfully so because Dany was a terrible character and people can’t see why she went all insane because she was some leftist queen who freed slaves. I think he even had super fans obsessed with his work help plot out where his characters were and how timing would impact things and even he couldnt do it. Anyway he should stick to Dunk and Egg series (worried how the show is going to be) because while they were a bit morally grey at times in the story they still felt like they fit in that society. Unlike GOTs where the main characters felt out of place with their actions and beliefs at times.

Also iirc GRRM’s wife signs her emails as Sansa Stark and named their cats after her and Arya so don’t let that get to your head when reading the story.

While I truly empathize regarding the ass fucking the Halo franchise got, it does not compare to the betrayal OG Star Wars fans felt walking out of the theater after The Phantom Menace. Jar Jar Binks (The Nigger) and Watto (The Jew) were affronts to the Galaxy. And this was BEFORE the globo homo Disney got their mits on it.

Here in NY, I knew veterans and single parents who got SNAP and would get like 20 dollars a month or so in benefits. Needy family? Maybe 100 or 200 dollars monthly.

Then there was illegal immigrants who got caught getting over 1200 a month in benefits, and you die a little inside.

it is so fucking funny to me that the only axis these people can interpret fiction on is how well it propagandizes for or against what they believe

it is such a self report about the way they interpret media that it doesn't even occur to them to ask questions like "is this enjoyable? does it have fun ideas?" and instead jump to whether they can perceive bigotry or criticism of classism in metaphors they're cherrypicking/making up

Even if true, the fat fuck's real problem is that he doesn't know how to get to the finish line. The most recent GOT book - glaringly obvious that he's lost control of the story and has no idea where it's going. The "next" book is never coming out, but if it does it won't resolve the series at all. He'll have to write another one or two to do that, and it ain't happening. Maybe Brian Herbert can carry on after he's gone.

Media is calling it an "outage" and not an attack and insisting its contained or mitgated all while users have continued to complain about it for HOURS after.

The pundit claims, in the same breath, its not an attack but a failure of a primary DNS server. I truly cant overstate how fucking crazy one of those being compromised is, there is only 13 primary DNS nodes and I believe only 2 are in the US maybe more dont hold me to that but they make up the BACKBONE AND RIBS of the internet as a whole, they are built with massive amount of redundancy so if one "fails" there are others to take its spot with 0 downtime, these are called "hotsites". For this to have gone the way it did it could ALMOST only be a DDOS attack of absurdly huge proportions on the primary node for AWS DNS or possibly one of they key nodes itself. This is a seismic leap forward in offensive cyberwarefare and we genuinely dont have anything comparable, a 100,000 count bot farm is considered gargantuan for us on a state level, what happened to day represents hundreds of millions if not billions of bots to have strained a network of AWS size.

Hope to THE VERY LORD im wrong and being a faggot doomer but I worry we just witnessed the equivalent of what the Comanches did when the Texas Rangers showed up with 6 shot revolvers, when they had bows and arrows, it just wouldent even seem fair.
