Jeez, it's like whatever edge the world of D&D had was sandblasted off and turned into generic globohomo slop. Imagine if they did this with Warhammer 40K?Who let tumblr do Official DnD art?

A good chunk of her parody comics are just her injecting her own cynical worldview into lighthearted and optimistic children's media. It's criticism as biting as claiming all Batman does is beat up poor people.Instead she opted to make a self deprecating comic with some of her personal politics sprinkled in about one of her favorite things: magical girls. Because cynical takes on magical girls totally haven’t been done to death!
Was this supposed to be funny to anyone who isn’t a terminally online hyper liberal feminist like the artist? Maybe I still have a bit of youthful whimsy in my soul because I can’t imagine drawing, writing, and posting this online in my late thirties. At least you’re honest about how miserable you are?
Wow, this must be a quality comic if I have to pay to read it!
Here, it’s free on ComicFury. https://magicalwomen.thecomicseries.com/comics/1/#content-startWow, this must be a quality comic if I have to pay to read it!
This comic explains why this 37 year old woman is like this. Pretty wordsy, but it’s always interesting to look into a madman’s mind.
Oh my god. So I was looking back at CaptProlactin’s account for some shit about her graphic novel, and decided to actually read the comic that mentioned her parents being divorced. It explains a lot.
Madoka Magica came out in 2011, it’s the oldest of old hats.Because cynical takes on magical girls totally haven’t been done to death!

If we want to go even further we can talk about Minky Momo dark ending (debut of truck-kun)Not to "erm, ackshually" you guys, but rather to further support your argument: Princess Tutu came out in 2002 and is considered to be the proto-Magical Girl deconstruction anime. And, if you wanna go even further back, Revolutionary Girl Utena was one of the inspirations behind Princess Tutu and that anime came out in 1997.
People only ever think about Puella Magi Madoka Magica as THE magical girl deconstruction anime because it's the one that became the most popular, but it's far from being the only one.

Except for the old guy all of them are attractive, that's the difference. SJW art posits that there's only one body type that's attractive so they wallow in the most grotesque as a kind of protest, reality being that there are many bodies that are attractive.
This page reminds me of:
Reminds me of a webcomic with the premise of former magical girls who drifted apart and are pushing 40. It’s also hot garbage with a whiny protagonist who brought almost all of her problems upon herself.

One trooned out, huh? Here, it’s free on ComicFury. https://magicalwomen.thecomicseries.com/comics/1/#content-start
There's a webtoon like this, too: https://www.webtoons.com/en/fantasy/new-magical-me/list?title_no=7059And as much as I agree with the rest of your post, I know it’s something she’d never take to heart. Technically she’s trying to do that with her parody comics/graphic novel, but of course it’s injected with the spite that comes with “We NEED to have rep for queers, women who are fat and not cishet or neurotypical!” Mix that in with the feminism brainrot and you have the embodiment of “writer subverts something, it’s contempt for the genre”. Her anti capitalist cat game is supposed to be for a good cause with donations, but again it’s laden with political bullshit.
I love that she can acknowledge and recognize people using therapy words to justify hurting people, but can't tell when she does the same type of shit.
Oh boy..a cynical take on heroes. Daring today, aren't we?To my shock, CaptProlactin has not made a comic on the No Kings protest. Just a lazy cat picture on her Instagram Stories.
