Musk is talking 10% odds of AGI with Grok 5. In less than 5 years there will be full AI identical to any one human capacity in all ways. 2 years after it'll be more than all combined humans in the world and that have ever lived, in every single way.

It's about the same as they said for tech singularity, but it's more of an event horizon (we won't know we're passed it until we can't get out). It's really soon.

Bro has not even gotten into Chicago without being railroaded, and he is talking about going to San Fran. What's the point of this? In all honesty he should just attach deployments to the FIFA/Olympic games, if you are a crime ridden shithole and refuse to clean up and arrest people, then no WorldCup or Olympic money for you.

Naturally i expect them to seethe and sue, but that would be way more effective.

Here's the summary of the plot from the game's Wikipedia article:

Judas takes place on Mayflower, a generation ship traveling through space carrying the last remnants of humanity to Proxima Centauri. The ship is run by three individuals: Tom, who wishes to preserve humanity in its original form; Nefertiti, his Nobel Prize-winning wife who wishes to transform humanity into a race of robots, free of flaw; and their adopted daughter, Hope, who wishes to "delete" herself from existence. Computers control the entire society, including grooming the human residents to be model citizens and report on those that deviate from expected behavior. The game's main character, Judas, has been able to break free of that direction, her actions leading to revolution aboard the Mayflower.

Levine might be a decent enough writer to make something worth playing, but he absolutely needs someone in charge above him to tell him when his writing is shit and that, no, it's not going into the game. It's a classic example of the Peter principle where Ken has clearly been promoted above his level of competence to predictable results.

Who is the US is preparing to fight in underground caves that are too dangerous for humans to enter?

(L | A) DARPA’s Subterranean (SubT) Challenge seeks to better equip warfighters and first responders to explore uncharted underground environments that are too dangerous, dark, or deep to risk human lives. Three Circuit Events have led to this Final Event at the Louisville Mega Cavern September 21-24, 2021. Participating teams will deploy autonomous systems to map, navigate, and search underground tunnel, urban, and cave spaces. Teams earn points by correctly identifying artifacts placed within those environments.

Eight teams will participate in the Systems Competition with real robots, and 10 Teams in the Virtual Competition, deploying autonomous systems to map, navigate, and search underground spaces. Teams earn points by correctly identifying artifacts placed within those environments.
  • Systems teams’ physical robots will need to quickly navigate unfamiliar underground environments in search of common items including backpacks, cell phones, trapped survivors, and even invisible gas.
  • Virtual Competition teams submitted autonomy software solutions for exploring simulated underground worlds in search of similar items and their runs will be broadcast in tandem with the Systems Competition.
$5 million in prizes is at stake in the final competition, including a $2 million 1st place prize in the Systems Competition and a $750,000 1st place prize in the Virtual Competition.
