Maybe I'm blanking out on the timeline of when Rarity went "missing" - but I hardly see any text messages regarding her besides that one text where Amber told Emily she couldn't find Rarity. She probably went manic when Emily didn't pick up after calling over 30 times and offed the poor cat.

The best ending for Rarity is that she just fled and found a commune of cats or perhaps found someone who can properly take care of her in a stressfree household but that is looking less and less the case.
